The company sold services with additional cost for warranty without (separate cost of $300). After charging the amount and providing services their communicated conditions and then voided the warranty without any explanation. They referred to the condition of the building as the reason why warranty cannot be honored while there has been no change in the condition of the building from the primary inspection before the warranty was sold. Logically, they had to either honor their warranty after being sold or avoid selling warranty for a building that allegedly does not meet the criteria for their services. Furthermore, the original receipts and information (dated July 29, 2022)did not have any information regarding conditions attached to the warranty. I attached all documents originally communicated to this email. They issued a new document and emailed it to me on December 14, 2022 after I requested follow up service which reflected some conditions regarding g the warranty.Business response

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We understand your frustration with not receiving an additional service under our warranty policy. However, upon review of the case, it was determined that the warranty had been voided due to the failure to follow the recommendations provided by our technician.
According to our records, the initial service was performed on July 29th, 2022. This service was originally scheduled for centipede extermination, as discussed over the phone. However, upon arriving at the property, the technician discovered additional pest issues including sow bugs and carpenter ants. After discussing the additional issues with you and receiving your permission, the technician adjusted the service cost to reflect the additional services being performed. It is important to note that the additional cost of $300 was not specifically for the purpose of adding a warranty, but rather for the additional services being provided. In fact, we offer a standard 6-month warranty for freehold properties for early infestation levels as part of our service. However, it is also important to note that this warranty is contingent upon the customer following all preparations and recommendations provided, which were clearly mentioned again in the service report provided to you **** *********.
In your case, the technician who performed your service made specific recommendations to remove dead wood branches, stumps, and shrubbery **** ******** ********* from the exterior of your property in order to eliminate conditions that are conducive to pest activity. This recommendation was provided as part of our standard service, and it is a necessary step in order to achieve long-term pest control results.
During a complimentary follow-up treatment provided under the warranty on September 15th, 2022, the technician arrived on-site and observed that none of the previous recommendations had been followed. As a result, the technician voided the warranty, as stated in the service report provided to you **** *********. If you had any concerns about this action being taken, we would have expected you to reach out to us at that time, rather than several months later.
We understand that this situation may have caused some misunderstanding regarding the terms of the warranty. As a gesture of goodwill, we are happy to offer an additional complimentary follow-up service, as requested.
