In early June 2021 Reuter Roofing installed a new roof on my townhome. This past March we were subject to a snow and ice storm. A couple of weeks after the storm we had water discolouration and leaking in our LR vaulted ceiling. I called Reuter and they sent a man over the next day. He confirmed that the incorrect vents had been installed during reroofing and that he blocked off the guilty vent. This was assumed by the workman, myself and ultimately the owner of Reuter to be the cause of our ceiling issue. In subsequent conversation with Reuter owner it was agreed that we would both try to get quotes for repair of the damage and it was my understanding that the cost of this would be borne by Reuter. Also I was told that proper vents would be installed in a week. After back and forth phone calls for two or three weeks the owner of Reuter quit answering my calls. As many trades are extremely busy at present it took a few weeks to get a firm quote for the repair. When I received a quote, in the middle of May, I immediately forwarded this by email to Reuter. No response. So in the 3rd week of May I sent a registered letter to Reuter along with a copy of the quote. I invited Reuter to get another quote. I have still received no response and, to my knowledge, no new roof vents have been installed.Business response

In response to this complaint, the homeowner was reimbursed for the repair costs on June 24, 2022 in the amount of $900. Also, the roof vent was replaced as per my conversation with the homeowner. In the end, the homeowner was happy with how the situation was resolved.
