We had a new furnace installed Dec 20, 2018 by Go Heating (goheating.ca). They did not complete the full removal of the old furnace equipment. They left the old stainless steel chimney in place outside the house despite that the removal was detailed in the contract. They were still paid by us on same day. On Aug 16, 2022 we received a letter from ********* for a bill double the original amount paid (4 years interest on original amount) with a description that we did not pay the original Dec 20, 2018 bill. This the was one and only notice we received from either ********* or Go Heating. I called them and I explained that we did pay and in full (we have copies of the visa bill and a paid receipt from Go Heating). They ignored my explanation and are going to sue for the full amount. I tried calling Go Heating several times and receptionist said no one available to discuss our issue and took messages. No call back. ********* will be submitting the claim in court. I will now be going to court to present our case. Pain in the ass.

The customer is vomiting defamation of character with this review  . When collections compnay asks for proof of payment they make their decision.  This proof of payment only shows the deposit is paid. There is still missing balance owed. Hence why the collections company is still working the case file.

there is no invoice uploaded for everyone to see it would show still balance owing  and there was nothing on contract about a chimney    Let’s ask ***** to provide his signed invoice showing full balance was paid   Because that doesn’t exist    This payment and paperwork got lost in files as was done on paper rather than digital.  I have his signed invoice with only the deposit collected

if he paid show proof to the collections agency  otherwise making public these accusations is defamation and an offence in court

resolution simply is to pay the balance owing  or prove the full payment was made  our records show it’s not

now that the file is with collection ***** needs to talk directly with collection company  that’s why we pay them to handle these situations

      thanks

      ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Here are the facts of this case:

      1. The docs I provided shows that I made full payment and on the day of the furnace install. $3503 shown as outstanding in the credit company letter is the exact amount paid in full. This was not the deposit but the final payment.

      2. No further contact was received from Go Heating after the payment. No complaint was made to me about any lack of payment. Only after 4 years did someone make contact and that was the credit company.

      3. The credit company said to call Go Heating, which I did and no response after several calls.

      4. As can be seen by their unprofessional response and by the many complaints by other customers this company seems to have a history of disservice to the HVAC industry.

      Sincerely,

      ***** *****

***** your own submission shows the only payment you made was the credit card as a deposit

It’s down to the dollar amd cent showing that you only paid deposit   If you don’t have an original copy of the invoice how can you make this claim.  I have the original amd this is what’s facts.  Your bill was much greater than the deposit  amd your statements to what’s on the invoice or not proves false

upload the invoice to prove your points or just simply pay your bill outstanding

I don’t have a problem proving anything  as your own documents prove my point   Invoice not paid in full and only proof one payment collected     Work was completed and as such deserving of being paid for    So if you don’t have any supporting documents to prove otherwise that court will be only option where more costs will be added on amd your defamation statements will be presented aswell for damages

if you can put effort into reviews so bold.  Put some effort to proving your case. Because that’s all anyones asking you to do. Prove it *****.  We don’t have proof you paid full invoice .  You said you did. So prove it   Simple.  Direct all evidence and further conversation to key credit to defend your statements and we will make our judgment call on how we wish to proceed against you accordingly.

      thanks

      ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because: Payment was made as required.

It is obvious that GO Heating has horrible book keeping.

See attached copy of my account monthly statement for January 2019. $3,000 was Etransfered to Go Heating on Jan 16, 2019.

Why $500 was not paid from the balance owing? Per my conversation with Go Heating at that time, they did not complete the full removal of the the old furnace; the stainless steel chimney that runs outside of the house was not removed. The chimney is not part of the house structure and was agreed to be part of the of system removal. The chimney is not specifically called out (neither was the oil tank) but the invoice indicates the "removal of the old system" as detailed in the invoice, and that includes the chimney. They had removed the oil tank but not the chimney. I was told that, because it was a January install, they wanted to remove the chimney in the spring. I agreed to this but said I would hold back $500 on the final payment until the chimney was removed. Thus the $3,000 payment. A few weeks later I got a call from Go Heating and they had indicated that the employee that had said he could do the chimney removal had quit on them and they had no one else to do it. As a result, I mentioned that the remaining $500 would be paid when they removed the final piece and not before. That was the last time I heard from them and they never came to complete the removal of the chimney so the final $500 was never paid.

Also, the invoice/work order indicates 10 years of annual preventative maintenance. 1 per year. None has been provided for the last 4 years. If anyone has a claim to make in court, it is me.

If GO Heating claims ignorance on the chimney and corresponding agreement then look the attached picture that shows the chimney still in place today. Maybe that will jog his memory. If you need a better picture from a different angle (back view of the house) that shows the chimney running the full height outside the house (basement to roof) then you will need to wait a few weeks when I have a chance to get a picture.

P.S. The stainless steel of the entire chimney system it worth much more than $500. They should have removed it and received $500 from me and $500+ on recycle sale for the stainless steel. But that makes too much business sense.

      Sincerely,

      ********** ********

I am rejecting this response because:
They have it completely wrong again. These people are on drugs or are purposely trying to swindle money from past customers hoping that I would not have any documentation after 4 years. Bad business decision.

This is getting old but let me try this one more time....

See attached copy of my account monthly statement for January 2019. $3,000 was Etransfered to Go Heating on Jan 16, 2019. That is the second and final payment. Even the credit company has finally conceded GO Heating was wrong and closed their file on this.

Why $500 was not paid from the balance owing? Per my conversation with Go Heating at that time, they did not complete the full removal of the the old furnace; the stainless steel chimney that runs outside of the house was not removed.

If GO Heating claims ignorance on the chimney and corresponding agreement then show him the attached picture that shows the chimney still in place today. Maybe that will jog his memory. Lessons learned, I should have insisted they detail the oil tank, chimney, etc. instead of just "old system." If you need a better picture from a different angle (back view of the house) that shows the chimney running the full height outside the house (basement to roof) then you will need to wait a few weeks when I have a chance to get a picture.

      One more thing.

"PM (Preventative Maintenance) for 10 years. 1 per year" as detailed in the invoice/service order. MIA. Never heard from them at all. At an average of $150/hr service call and1 hour service, that's $600 in arrears (4 years) already by Go Heating. I think I have a case for small claims court against them. I'll have to think about it.

P.S. The stainless steel of the entire chimney system it worth much more than $500. They should have removed it and received $500 from me and $500+ on recycle sale for the stainless steel.

      Sincerely,
