On October 15, 2021, I walked into Iron Forge looking for Nachos, after looking at their website. On their website the pricing and size options showed, Personal 8.49 | Medium 10.49 | Large 14.99, plus $2.99 for chicken or beef. I decided I was going to get 2 personal nachos. When I asked the cashier for 2 personal sized nachos, she begins to tell me that they only have one size, so I asked her what the size is; she then shows me with her hands what the size is, based on the size she showed me, it seemed like a small size, so I agreed to 2 and then she asked me if I wanted chicken or beef (did not mention I could have it without either), so I chose chicken. She inputs it into the cash and tells me the price is $40.66, so I pay with my card. As I am walking out of the store to wait for it to be ready, I start thinking to myself that seemed very expensive for what it sounded like I was getting. When I get outside I start mentioning to my boyfriend, who was outside waiting, about my experience and how it sounded expensive. He decided he was going to go in and talk to them and find out why the final price was a lot more than any of their prices online. While he was in there, the Owner begins to tell him that had I not paid he would refund me the money for 1 and give me both, but since I had already paid he couldn't- this made no sense! He also then basically calls us a liar by telling us that the website we looked at wasn't his website, which it clearly was (address listed was the same, logo the same, etc.). They also mention maybe we were looking at the wrong location, so my boyfriend showed them that it clearly stated the Winchester location. My boyfriend comes outside, and tells me what all was said, and that he didn't think they were going to do anything about it. When it was ready, my boyfriend went it grabbed the boxes with the nachos, and leaves. Both of us were livid, we couldn't believe a small local business would treat customers like this. It definitely seemed like they just wanted our money, and like they didn't care. They never even apologized to us! As a small business owner, myself, I believe in supporting other local small businesses, but can't say we will be going back. I would be embarrassed if this is how I treated my Customers.
