On March 04 2021, I contracted Clover Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc to install a flat roof membrane system. According to the invoice, 75 sq ft of plywood was replaced at a cost of $120.00. My camera photos during this installation reveal that the roofing system was installed without the indicated plywood underlay. A subsequent inspection by a **************** on May 31 2021 revealed that the flat roof does not have a solid underlay. There are additional issues with poor workmanship that include an uneven drip edge and unsightly visible signs of torched material that has spilled onto the side of the roof and the eaves-trough. Lastly I had to physically remove two unused 6ft (approximate size) plywood sheets from my property for disposal in the contractor's waste bin several days after the company's crew had left the job site.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/10) */ I have attached our reply to the customer. These are very stressful and tough times for small businesses and we do try our best to keep all our clients happy. We will be dealing with the extremely minor detail that this customer is unhappy with in as quick a timeframe as possible. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/09/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) This issue has been outstanding since March of 2021. To date, Clover Roofing and Sheet Metal has not provided an appropriate response or timeline to address the quality issues that have been mentioned in my complaint. Clover Roofing and Sheet Metal has been aware of my consumer concerns since March of 2021. After receiving full payment for this project, the company continues to delay any effort to either fulfill its warranty obligations or explain the various installation inconsistencies. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2021/09/30) */ We had a crew member return to deal with the minor issue the customer had an issue with. The customer indicated on the phone and by email that they are satisfied with everything Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2021/10/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) In response to the complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau, the contractor has made an effort to resolve and address the outstanding issues that were related to the roofing installation.
