I hired ***** ******* of Compass Construction to do work to my house. I hired him in July 2019 and he did not complete my job until May 2021. I was living in Ontario during this time so I’m guessing he took so long to do my work because I wasn’t on PEI to keep on top of him. The fence he built was great the deck was good but the screened in room is a big problem. I asked him to build me a screen room where I could sit outside and not be bothered by mosquitoes and bees and hornets as behind my house is all woods and I get a lot of mosquitoes. I was going by pictures he was sending me in Ontario and the screened in room looked really nice I was really happy with it. Until I get home. I moved home to PEI in May 2021. Right off the bat I seen I was having issues with the screen room. I had to have him back to replace the door that fell apart. To complete the plug in the wall as there was only wires hanging out no plug. There were nails through the walls which were very dangerous on the inside he had to remove and put in shorter nails. He had removed my drain sprout to build the screen room and he did not replace it. He had to put it back at my request. I asked him about putting in windows and he said he’ll come back and do the windows for me at an additional price. He never did come back or ever contact me again even though I reached out to him. I ended up hiring another contractor to install my windows as I want to be able to keep the weather elements out rather than just having screens on the window openings. Over the summer I attempted different times to sit in the room which was useless because I was constantly being bitten by mosquitoes and the killing hornets. I eventually gave up on ****** because he never did respond back to me. It wasn’t until the first snowstorm I seen how shoddy job he did. Even though I had installed windows I had everything snow covered. As a contractor he should’ve used Tongue and groove boards. The spaces between the boards are big.
