    I was gifted a gift certificate of spa service on December 24th 2019, the monetary value of the services at the time of purchase on December 20th 2019 was in the amount of $147.17. I wanted to use the certificate in April 2020 but due to Covid restrictions the business was closed. Throughout the time of purchase of the gift certificate 2019 -2021 the business was closed or reduced in limited operations and limited access due to Covid restrictions. With restriction now fully lifted and facilities open to full capacity I was able to book a reservation to use my gift certificate on May 19th. I called the service agent to make reservation using the gift certificate number and date of purchase and the agent advised me that their has been a price increase in services of what the gift certificate was purchased for and I would have to pay the difference. I refused to pay and I was not able to book my appointment as they needed my credit card to reserve and the agent clearly stated that my card would be charged for the difference in price for the service. I emailed management in the attached and asked to be excused from this payment of price difference as I was not able to use the certificate and services during the Covid closures. I would like to use my gift certificate and not be charged the increase of prices since the purchase. I am not seeing the management trying to resolve this fairly due to the circumstances. Also, I find it a problem as a consumer that when purchasing a gift certificate on line there is not communication that price increase of service could diminish the value of the certificate and the recipient would have to pay for the difference in increase of service when booking reservation to use the certificate. The consumer only sees this in fine print when the gift certificate is printed after purchase. I have attached the communication of this issue to the management.

    The one star is purely because it was the WORST customer experience I've ever had. Me and my girlfriend wanted to do a couples massage, but couldn't because of Covid so we decided to just schedule them at the same time. After being forced to purchase the thermal experience in order to do a massage at Nordik, we decided to make a day of it anyway. At 8AM the day of, we got a call that my massage was cancelled because the masseuse had Covid. My girlfriend's massage was at 11am and the only other time available for my massage was at 6:30pm, but that would mean each of us would have to be alone for an hour and I would have to be watching the clock all day waiting. We asked to cancel for another day and were told that they were going to charge us a $100 fee for cancelling my thermal experience and my girlfriend's massage, even though they were the ones that cancelled on us! Both massages were booked at the same time, they knew we wanted to do them together. I asked to talk to the manager, but apparently they were "too busy" to come on the phone. Then when we decided to just do the massage at 6:30pm, they wanted to charge me an extra $10 because it was a "massage in nature", which basically means you get the exact same massage except you're cold in a little cabin outside, instead of being warm inside with a heated bed. I asked to get a call back from the manager to discuss this, but still haven't received a call back.

    If anyone really cared about customer service I wouldn't have had to wait this long for a call back; it's been over a week now to get and I still haven't received a call back yet. The issue has nothing to do with availability of therapists, it's the audacity to charge $100 in fees for Nordik cancelling on us. The issue stems from managements decision to ***** customers for every *****, the customer service person was just doing their job.

    Dear *****, it would appear a member of our team has since reached out via email. Please reply directly to their email for further communications on this matter. Again, we apologize for the delay. In terms of the cancellations fees, we can confirm that these apply only in the case where a guest is cancelling their service(s) less than 24h prior to the reservation date and time as per indicated in our conditions of sale. If a massage cancellation stems from a therapist being unavailable, fees will not be charged for the cancellation of that specific massage. We are sorry for the frustration this misunderstanding may have caused and we are very grateful for your support.
