I brought my car into DuPont Ford because the engine light was on. I paid for a rental car for 2 days. I was told I only needed an oil change. I was driving home from picking up my car after it had been “serviced” and the engine light went back on. I spent $250 for the service and $70 for the rental and the car was NOT fixed. I called for two days and left voice mails for anyone who works there and no one got back to me. I called more than 10 times and finally got to a real live person in service. I was assured the engine light problem was fixed and I only needed an oil change. Completely untrue. Now DuPont Ford wants me to bring my car back in a second time but plans to charge me again to fix a problem they said they already fixed but did not. I want my car fixed and I want a rental provided free of charge until the problem is rectified properly and for good.Business response

Customer's vehicle came in with a "Check Engine Light" with the custome saying the vehicle was "Hard on fuel". When the tech checked the vehicle he noticed the oil level was unusually high for this type of engine. We don not know when and where the last oil change was made but clearly the person did not know what he was doing. We advised the customer that we needed to start with a oil change and the tech even mentionned in his notes **** ******** ******** that if the light came back on we would need to change the VCT.
