I got my contract with Northstar Brokers for a **** but never got the money,i tried emailing them and calling the number on the website with no response at all,i would like to cancel the contract

Hydro loan with this group for $1000 they have my banking information they have not contacted me as to when the money will be deposited. They have a take out date of when they want to start taking money out of me. I applied for this loan on ********************************************************************************* email you email them continuously they dont respond they have nobody to answer a telephone to take your messages or to call back so what are these guys going to do? Are they going to rip me off and start withdrawing money from me when they havent even given me the thousand dollars yet to this dayNorthstar Brokers Response

We received the application on October 29, 2023, and due to the high volume of applications we received, we were able to review and inform the client on October 31, 2023. Our records indicate that you received the loan on September 27th, 2023, along with our welcoming email which outlined the option to cancel your loan within 48 hours and provided all necessary contact information. As we did not receive any communication from you within that initial 48-hour period, we assumed you wished to proceed with the loan.Our next communication took place on October 23rd, 2023, in which we reiterated the terms of the 6-month fixed loan. We want to emphasize that you have the flexibility to pay off your loan at any time before the deadline without incurring pre-payment penalties. You would only be required to pay the remaining capital (the amount borrowed) and any outstanding defaults or missed payments, if applicable.Please don't hesitate to contact our customer service if you require any further assistance.Review from ryan p

I took out a loan of $1000 from a subsidiary of Northstar Brokers, *******************. So far I have repaid 4 payments of $220.62, amounting to $882.48. I emailed them to ask how much I have left to pay exactly because I was planning on paying it off in one final payment, and was informed that the loan was on a 13-month term amounting to a total repayment of $2868.06!!! Almost 3x the loaned amount! I was under the impression that the loan was $1000 plus 18% interestNorthstar Brokers Response

They took money out today but then they also tried to take out money for their loan payment which caused me to get a NSF fee, why in the world would you take money out twice? i'm so fed up with this "company". I tried so many times to contact them by email, but every single time i'm unable to send the email as their inbox is "full" and when I tried calling and left a message, no one ever calls me back to follow up with my issue. What kind of bs company is this? All i want is a copy of my contract and to find out the remaining balance of my loan - HOW HARD IS IT TO CALL BACK YOUR CUSTOMERS!? NEVER EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I desperately need to get a hold with one of the agents as I just cannot deal with this stress anymore. This is absolutely horrible i had a loan for about a month took out $500. When i finally had the cash i asked them how much i had to pay they said $485. So i paid $350 when i had the chance mind u they had take $65 before that on a couple occasions, i wanted to know my balance a week later after i paid to pay the rest. They said i owed $485 how is that even possible i am not paying over double for a $500 loan. So i did a stop payment with my bank this ISN'T RIGHT! * **** *******. THEY ARE NOT GETTING ANYTHING MORE FROM ME UNLESS I SEE A STATEMENT IN FULL OF WHAT I PAID AND OWE. DOESN'T MAKE SENSE WHATSOEVER!!! DO NOT USE NORTHSTAR BROKERS **** *** ********Review from Tim R

Highly unethical company... You are paying 90% brokerage fees. 700 dollar loan.... Will end up over 7 months costing you 2300 dollars, very very shady, the don't openly disclose this, this place is preditory and the government needs to step in, complain to whoever will listen, places like this need to be shutdown
