  My fiance and I hired ************* of Quality Construction & Stucco in March 2022. *** was ********, came to our home to provide us with a quote to do renovations on our attic which included tearing down walls, and insulation and re dry walling, insulating, installing floor, painting, and trim. We also hired *** two install two closets in our home (bedroom closet, entry way closet) and trim a couple cupboards in our kitchen to accommodate our new fridge, as it was slightly too big for our space. He provided us with a quote of $11,077.50 and completion date of 3 weeks from March 28th. *** showed up to our home on March 28th of March with two other employees and began tearing the walls and insulation upstairs out, at this time *** asked for a 30% deposit on his quote so I provided a money order to *** on March 28th for $4,000. *** and his employees were at our home for 4 days consecutively and *** requested a progress payment of another $4,000 which was provided to him in the form of a money order. *** said that I do not need to include his business name on the money orders, which should have been a red flag. Since that first 4 days in April, *** has shown up to our home sporadically, totaling approximately 7 days in total of work. *** would send me text messages of excuses as why he could not come finish the work, his car broke down, his wife's truck broke down, his taxes needed to be done, he had to go to ****** for a test, he was sick. During this time we remained hopeful, understanding, and patient with ***. He has not shown up to our home in the last month and he has been ignoring our calls, and text messages. He will respond to a text once in a while and make a date to come back to complete the job but, has not. I have spoken to 4 different individuals who *** has taken money from and has not completed the job. ********************************************************************************************************************************************************

  Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/04) */ ********************************************************************************************************** We were at the complainants home in early June to finish the job I was hired to do. We were getting ready to prime and paint when we noticed the roof leaking inside the upstairs loft that we had just demoed and re insulated and poly and new drywall mud and taped. I informed her fiance of what we had discovered and he told us to stop work until he could get the roof repaired. I was then contacted buy the misses to see if would could come.finish the 2 closets on the main floor in the mean time I said yes we could do it the following week. She agreed. Then she posted accusations against me and my company that I ripped her off on social media and that isn't the case she has paid for the work to date. Nothing more there is still 1/3 or better owing on the complete job. I have no issues with completing the job as quoted.
