  Hired APF Contracting to replace carpeted floors with Laminate. This also included all baseboards, trim, and transition strips between the rooms as well as removal of carpeting in the Living Room and Hallway. Was quoted 1200.00 for for the work, which I agreed to and he began work on 04 Jul 2022. Upon completion of just the flooring, I had noticed several areas where the flooring is not together properly and it sticking up, baseboards are not properly affixed to the walls, there was a fine dust covering absolutely everything as he was cutting the flooring and baseboards inside with no ventilation or drop cloth, and the floors themselves were very dirty. Instead of removing the old carpet and edge strips, he put it all outside against the fence in the front yard, plus a pile of debris left in the middle of the yard. After stating that he could come back and finish (wanted it done before new furniture arrived) he never contacted me with an approx. date for finishing the work. I contacted him by text on 11 Jul 2022 stating that he could come back and finish the work, then again on 29 Jul 2022 and 07 Sep 2022. There has yet to be any further communication, and the work still remains unfinished. I have not paid him for work that has been done. The name of the contractor is Abe Friesen.   Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/29) */ I was pretty much booked all year, we agreed that i would do it on a rainy day, that would be the only day that I would have time, we didn't get job finish 1 st day , she wasn't at home when we left, the third day I cam back to load all the old flooring, then I was going to get the rest of the material we needed to finish the job, and clean up , then she told me , she would get some one else to finish it , from the time I left the first day and the time she told me she was going to get some one else to finish, there was no communication , a week later she decided to have me finish the job , I told her as soon as i get an other day i wold finish it on September 7 I got a tex asking when I could finish i texted back that I could come back end of week or beginning of the next week wich I did and the job is finish
