    According to BBB files this business has a pattern of complaint concerning service issues. Consumers state that they paid Page Bookkeeping and Consulting to file their taxes but after several months the consumers come to find out their taxes were never filed.  Consumers indicate that they want their documents returned as well as a refund. Calls and emails from the consumers to the business go unanswered. BBB sent a written notice to Page Bookkeeping and Consulting identifying the potential pattern of complaint with a request for a business response. The business did not respond to BBB's request.

      I paid to have my corporate taxes filed and they were not. Now CRA is after me and it is causing me problems and stress.

      I went to Page Bookkeeping & Consulting to file my personal taxes for the 2022 tax year. I communicated with ****** **** by email and by phone, getting tips and advice on what documents to prepare prior to my appointment. ****** requested a deposit prior to meeting, claiming that in previous years, numerous clients offered to pay after they received their returns, but never paid after the fact. I accepted this reasoning and sent a $100 deposit by E-transfer, on April 22, 2023. My wife and I met with ****** in the evening of April 24, 2023, to review our documents. She prepared our returns, but did not file, as she claimed there was one thing she wanted to check the next day during the CRA's operating hours. She would then complete our returns relevant to this one piece of information, and file our taxes. She sent an invoice by email yet that evening, for a total of $316.35, minus the $100 deposit. I immediately paid this invoice in full, by E-transfer. As of today, July 16, 2023, my taxes have yet to be filed by Page Bookkeeping & Consulting. My invoice has not been updated to reflect payment in full, only reflecting her receipt of the deposit, despite the bank confirming that both payments were completed and successfully received. Despite numerous attempts to contact ****** for over a month, by phone and by email, I have not been able to speak with her about this situation. She has yet to return any messages. We may now face financial penalties due to late filing and late payment of amounts owing. This has also delayed, if not nullified, several Child Tax Benefit payments, as they are calculated from filed tax returns.

      April 13th 2023 I signed paperwork at "amanda page consultant" I wanted her to do my taxes. That evening after I had dropped off my information I was contacted for payment, she said because the CRA is going on strike she HAD to have them in. I said I'd send the money tomorrow when I got paid. Next day I sent the payment and didn't actually receive my taxes until a week later after I called asking for them, she emailed them to me. Weeks go by and the CRA hasn't received any files (I had called them) So I called Amanda and they said there was an error in a few people's taxes so she'll send them out again. Again weeks go by and CRA hasn't received them. I called amanda a hand full of times, left voice mails and never got a response. So I called one evening saying I'd like to know what's going on and if they are having difficulties Id just like a refund to go somewhere else! Next day I call them again and no answer but I got a text from them saying they were on a call but they'll give me a call back later. I never heard from them. In the text i sent back I asked for a refund because I couldn't wait any longer, June first they said they'd call me back later, then it was in an hour. On June second I again asked for a refund and was told my taxes have been mailed to me because they locked down their CRA due to identity theft. June 3rd I asked again and was told they can't do anything digitally (so I asked what my options were) I was told to wait until they are open. I said "it says you're open until 5" Then she said "I am scheduled solid working" Then I was told maybe Monday because she is busy processing taxes. June 6th I asked if my husband could come grab a cash return. She said she'll get back to me after she goes to the bank in half an hour. Next day when I texted her, she said she was in line at the bank. After that on June 7th she said she's in meeting and will call me in an hour. We have had no contact since and my taxes weren't mailed or filed.

      Used Page Consulting to file 10 yrs of back taxes for elderly relative. Was told this was done and Revenue Canada reviewed and paid for some years but still reviewing other years. This was approximately a year ago. Since then Page Bookkeeping and Consulting website no longer in service, business moved/closed, no response to phone messages or emails and when I attended owners home/business recently on multiple occasions (3) trying to find out what is going on with my tax account, found there was no longer any staff, heard variety of excuses, was told to come back repeatedly, waited 2 hours last time and still never met with owner nor was I provided an update or the documents requested. 10 yrs of all my tax documents and receipts appear to have disappeared (was told they were sent to Revenue Canada despite e-filing) and I was never given any of my original documents back. I requested copies of the 10 yrs of tax filings and was provided with only 1 year (2019). I am unable to access any information through Revenue Canada because they will only speak with me if I can provide financial information from specific lines from tax returns, none of which I have access to. I do not know if Page Consulting provided the 10 yrs of tax preparation I paid for. I don’t know if there are outstanding issues. I require copies of the 10 yrs of tax returns. Further, I have serious concerns about ****** **** competency and professionalism at present and believe public should be warned. I did not feel safe attending her home business on recent 3 occasions due to her personal associates present at her home. ***** ********* *** ********* ** **** ******* ******* **** *** ******** ** **** * ********* ***** ***** *** ****** *** ********. At this point, I no longer believe ****** **** is competent to resolve my concerns or will provide me with the information I have repeatedly requested.

      I paid $415 to have my 2021 taxes prepared and filed for my wife and myself. The taxes were never filed even though I was told they were and billed as such. The business will not answer my calls or texts. They are still in possession of my tax documents, receipts, T4’s and all.
