Vehicle was purchased from Everyday Auto Sales in Regina. Said vehicle was a rebuilt vehicle and had a mechanical safety inspection done. The vehicle was purchased for $11,000 + tax. We drove the vehicle to warman and noticed the vehicle being shaky on the road, swerving left and right. We called the dealership and they said our manager is gone a trip to india and will not be back for a while, and to contact the inspector. We contacted the original inspector who said take the vehicle to a mechanic in saskatoon and do an inspection, if anything comes up they will pay for it. We took it to a mechanic in Saskatoon, *** *** **** **** *** **** whom conducted an inspection. The inspection discovered the right rear control arm bent. We called the original inspector, ***** who said he would pay for the repair to both us and the mechanic who then proceeded with the repair. Upon completion, *** *** **** tried to contact the mechanic who was not answering his phone. After numerous attempts, we got through and were told he will not pay for the repair. We decided to pay the ~$1000 and bring the vehicle home as it is my brothers first car. We have gotten *** involved who is currently in the process to inspect the vehicle and provide information of what will happen. On Jan 13 the brake caliper on the rear driver side failed and came off, it rubbed against the rim and shaved off both the rim and caliper. This is when matters got serious and we contacted *** again to come look at the vehicle. This is a major safety concern for the brake mounting bolt that failed should not have broken, someone didn't tighten the bolt enough or used the wrong size bolt, this was told to us by *** ******. We do not feel safe in this vehicle anymore, we are now short a rim, brake caliper and maybe even brakes. How can i dealership sell a vehicle that is unsafe and when contacted not have a resolution instead say our manager is not here and therefore we cannot discuss. What is the resolution here.
