I hope you can help me find a solution to an ongoing issue that I have had with Varsity Homes over the last seven years. There is a previous complaint that I sent and unfortunately nothing has improved, if anything, things have become worse. I bought a townhouse from then and in the agreement that was signed (I'd be happy to provide a copy) it states that Varsity Homes is in charge of the outdoor maintenance on the townhouses. It has been beyond difficult to get the attention of Varsity Homes to have them maintain the exterior of the property. Often several emails need to be sent with having to request a response from them before any sort of action was taken. I find that any time snow removal, spring maintenance, regular upkeep, etc. requires myself (and other home owners) to send multiple emails before a response is even given and then the response received is rude and often unhelpful or very vague. Myself and all the other homeowners, pay this company $150 a month to maintain the property. Any help, guidance or support you can provide would be greatly appreciated. At this point, I feel I would really like a monthly break down of what our fees go to and I feel there is even potential that the company owes us some of those fees back. We should not have to be reaching out over and over for support.

We have contacted this homeowner and we are currently working with her to schedule a date during the week of Feb 6/23 for a telephone discussion. We are confident that this can be resolved and we can continue to maintain a positive experience for the owners at ********* *******.

When I purchased my townhouse from Varsity homes, the condo fees were $150. Throughout the purchase process they indicated that they were not actually condo fees but a maintenance fee. They were a maintenance fee and not a condo fee because all of the units were not full and there was more to be done in the construction process. Throughout the past seven years I have had to reach out to varsity homes multiple times, yearly, to have them come out and do the maintenance that they are responsible for. I have email correspondence from them that I can provide. Varsity has made it nearly impossible to come to a conclusion or resolution because nothing is consistent and often emails are not responded to. Quite often emails that are responded to are quite rude. They have expectations for us as homeowners, however they don't hold up their side of the expectations either. Every year I have put in a request to have them come and do a spring cleanup where they clean up the garbage that has blown in over the winter, Trim the trees and pull weeds. At times I've had to send two or three emails just to receive a response that indicates they are working on it. Every year I get the same response. I am feeling I'm almost at a point where they are just taking money and doing nothing with it. I almost feel like they owe us money back because of the lack of upkeep. When there was a request put in to have the parking lot lined to indicate parking spots it took months for that to happen. Then they labeled the parking spots with a sharpie marker, that didn't last long. Parking spots are still not labeled and we consistently get emails regarding parking. It's just a very frustrating situation and I'm really not sure what to do so I'm reaching out for hopefully some support or guidance from you.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/09) */ Good morning, In response to the complaint filed against Varsity Homes Ltd., Varsity Homes Ltd. was contracted to construct the buildings and **********************************. the registered owner. We have someone consistently working there once a week to weed, shape the shrubs / trees and collect garbage. We are out there every 4 to 6 weeks to mow the weeds in the vacant lots and snow is always removed in a timely manner within 24 hours of any snowfall. We are unaware of the expectations we have of the homeowners besides keeping up after their pets, parking in their designated stalls and not to disturb each other, we would request a bit more detail on this subject. We had plaques made up for the parking pedestals and will have them installed next week along with the private parking sign as per the homeowners. Unfortunately, these took a little longer to have made than originally expected apologies for that, but we do have them now and will have them installed next week. We understand there has been a bit of a communication strain at times and will be looking to rectify that moving forward. We are open to working with the homeowners and do want them to have a positive experience and be comfortable in their homes.
