Up until now we have enjoyed the vast majority of our movies at The Scotiabank Theatre in Saskatoon. On Thursday, August 3rd, 2023, we went to *** ****** ***** at this venue. We had our usual ****** tickets. Our tickets would not scan so the trainee called her manager over to assist. He informed me that we could not use our tickets for this particular film, but he did not provide us with a reason. He lamely claimed that he, "just found this out" himself. So after not honoring our tickets, we had to pay $33 to see the show, despite there being NO NOTICES ANYWHERE online nor at the theater that ****** tickets would not be accepted for this film. To add insult to injury, I ordered popcorn with layered butter. Instead, I received bone-dry popcorn covered in salt. Three mouthfuls in, I was treated to a LONG HAIR in my popcorn! In to the theater garbage it went. The film itself was wonderful, but the overall experience at this theater was UNACCEPTABLE. Why were no notices posted anywhere regarding the use of ****** tickets not being accepted for this movie? More importantly, why are food staff NOT wearing any hairnets?! These are challenging times, and in keeping with ********'s tagline of a "great escape", I would have to say that this was one "great escape" I would NOT wish to experience again at ANY theater! Such a huge disappointment after a much-anticipated evening out.Business response

Hi thank you for forwarding this to us. I have spoken to the guest and have provided her passes to come back and enjoy a couple of visits on us to any experience she wishes. We have apologized for the experience she had and welcome her back into our venue in the near future. Our guest was thankful and please with the response. Have a great day!Customer response
