      I am filing a complaint against North Saskatoon Hyundai regarding the unsatisfactory service provided for my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. On December 22, 2023, I brought my vehicle in due to a lack of heat in the cabin. Despite agreeing to the replacement of the thermostat, subsequent visits to the dealership failed to resolve the issue. The dealership's attempts on December 28 and 29, including using both a third-party thermostat and a Hyundai thermostat, did not rectify the problem. Moreover, a disconnected coolant hose led to smoke emanating from the engine. Despite assurances, the problem persisted, and new issues, including a squeaking noise, arose. On January 11, 2024, my vehicle failed to provide heat in dangerously cold conditions, necessitating assistance from an independent mechanic, Tech 7. They discovered improper replacement of coolant at a rating of -5 and found no evidence of the thermostat being replaced. Despite attempts to contact the service manager at North Saskatoon Hyundai, no satisfactory resolution was reached. I authorized Tech 7 to proceed with necessary repairs, including replacing the heater core, costing $1992.15. I am seeking restitution for these costs, in addition to the $302.46 paid to North Saskatoon Hyundai for the unsuccessful initial repair attempt, totaling $2294.61. Throughout this ordeal, the dealership's lack of effective communication and resolution efforts have been disappointing. I hope for prompt action and resolution to rectify this matter.

      My recent experience at Saskatoon North Hyundai was deeply disheartening, marked by a startling lack of transparency and professionalism. I had my eyes on a 2018 ******** *** ***, listed at $46,000. However, undisclosed issues like visible damage and an e-brake warning became apparent upon arrival. Sales manager, Andre C*******, and trainee Dallen E*******, instead of addressing these concerns, minimized them. This lack of transparency extended throughout our interaction, including high-pressure tactics and withholding crucial vehicle information. Even after insisting on a pre-purchase inspection, the results were initially concealed, revealing several major issues when disclosed. The staff’s demeanor notably shifted when a sale seemed improbable, leading to unwarranted remarks from Mr. E******* about our financial capability and honesty regarding past vehicle repairs. Being newly self-employed, securing finance approval posed challenges due to my optimized tax liabilities, despite affordability not being a problem. This was conveyed to the staff, yet Mr. E******* made sarcastic remarks about my ability to afford the vehicle and insinuated untruthfulness about my financial standing and past experiences. I shared a past experience about high repair costs at luxury dealerships, to which the response from Andre C******* was dismissive and disrespectful, hinting that my recount was exaggerated. Post-visit, Mr. E******* texted, accusing me of fabricating details about my financial condition. His dismissive retorts suggested dishonesty about my circumstances. This wasn’t merely a thwarted car purchase but a reflection of the absence of respect, transparency, and professional integrity at the dealership. It was a lesson in frustration and disappointment, and I hope this serves as constructive feedback for the dealership and a warning to prospective buyers.
