      Purchased vehicle and within 5 days engine light came on. Took it in and they said it was a cam shaft sensor amd erased code. They made a appointment for the following tuesday but i told them i knew it was the transmission because i could feel the slip when it changed gears. I asked them to refund my money or trade. They offered me 29000 plus 2500 cash on a trade. I told them it was unacceptable and i would think about it. I didn't want to lose 9000 dollars within a week. I left the vehicle there to be fixed. The issue wasnt resolved so I refused to pick up vehicle until it was. They delivered it to my home when i wasnt there to receive it. Since then i have had no contact with them. I did however contact someone who said he would help me reaolve the issue but since then he has had a lot of family issues come up and has been unable to help. I need a reliable vehicle since i am disabled and now raising my grandchild since my daughter passed away last October.

      She only wanted this ******** truck that we explained had just arrived and needed to be *** CERTIFIED.  She agreed and purchased the truck that  and would wait for us to get the truck certified  for her.  Once the truck was *** Certified  the customer took possession of the vehicle. She went to Edmonton, When she got back the vehicle had a check engine light on. We said not to worry and we would take care of it.  It was a sensor and we ordered the part to handle the check engine light.  The customer then went on to say that she needed more room for her family and wanted to either sell the truck back to us or trade it on a SUV.   We gave her the option of fixing the truck, A cash offer to buy the truck back, and a cash back offer if she traded it on the SUV.   She did not like the amount we were offering her.  I told her it was hers and she could sell it anywhere and trade it anywhere if she didn't like our offer. Either way we would fix the sensor problem on the truck.  She said she would think about it and let us know. I told her we would fix her truck and have her sales rep contact her when it was ready.   I received a voice mail from someone from Manitoba who told me that I should be paying her more for the truck if I was buying it back, he said he worked at a dealership and the truck was worth more than my offer. ( if that is the case and he works at a dealership then why did he not buy it from her ?? )   After the truck was repaired The sales rep and lot tech delivered her vehicle back to her house.  We have heard nothing from the customer since.  If she is having problems she is more than welcome to contact me about them. In this case Village Auto Sales has done nothing wrong, we sold a customer a vehicle that she wanted and agreed on a price, when it had an issue we fixed it at NO COST to the customer, when she wanted to trade or sell it, we made an offer that we wanted to pay out or pay difference.  We have done nothing wrong.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      I was told by the salesperson *** since he knew i wanted a SUV type vehicle to test drive the truck and if not satisfied then he would get me into a suv with cash back when he delivered the truck. I also upon returning from Edmonton told them i knew it was more than just a sensor problem. The camshaft sensor does not just throw if codes if there isnt an underlying issue involved. The transmission is going. I told *** this. He kept assuring me that their mechanic said it was just a sensor. I kept saying it is more of a problem for that sensor to go off. There is a transmission issue. I am requesting a full refund or equal value trade for another vehicle as i first requested less than a week after purchasing this vehicle.

      I stand by my first response.  The vehicle is Sask Certified.  We fixed the problem when it came up.  I have no reason to believe there is a transmission issue.  I am willing to scan the vehicle if you like but if there is no problem it will not be at my cost.  If you decide to sell or trade it elsewhere for the money or value you want then that is your choice. I am open to doing a deal with you.  I will make you a cash offer for the truck, I will give you a trade value on the truck.  Just because you do not agree with the cash offer or trade value is no reason that I should have to deal with a BBB complaint. Village auto has done nothing wrong and I stand by that

      Dear BBB,
      On Nov 12, 2022 I traded in my 2022 *** ******** ******** ** for a 2019 ***** ** ****** *** from Village Auto Sales paying $7,594.59 minus a $1000 rebate.
      The purchase was made at their satellite office **** **** in Saskatoon.
      The salesperson showing me the vehicle indicated it had good winter tires on steel rims plus the summer alloys with tires came with it.
      After purchasing and taking the vehicle I followed up a week later in their office regarding closing financing and other details including receiving the summer tires. I was told the vehicle was sold as is and as a courtesy I would be given free hubcaps. They would not answer my question as to why I was told by the outdoor salesperson that the vehicle came with the summer rims/tires which is why I made the purchase.
      May 12 - I reached out to the GM of **** **** ****** **** regarding the summer tires/rims I was originally promised. I was instructed to talk to the manager at Village Auto Sales ***** *****. I was unable to get in touch with *****. When I called the next day for ****** I was informed he was dismissed.
      May 24 - I took the vehicle to ********* ***** ******* as I discovered the air conditioning did not operate after the first time I attempted to use it. ******* confirmed numerous seals and orings required replacement. The service advisor commented that this should have been caught and repaired prior to the original sale of the vehicle as a/c is checked in a presale mechanical inspection. Moreover, he pointed out the tires were past the wear bars meaning the tires were not safe for the road (in layman's terms the tires were completely bald). It was also pointed out that the tires would have been in this shape PRIOR to purchasing the vehicle as I only put on 5964 kilometers. I had another mechanic inspect the tires and they concluded I was sold an unsafe vehicle that was not lot-ready.
      I finally spoke with ***** ***** in person and he said he would follow up with a solution.
      When he failed to follow up I reached out again numerous times. Upon finally speaking with *****, he became very aggressive, rude, and ultimately ghosted me.
      As someone who is not mechanically inclined, I was leaning on the professionalism and honesty of the selling parties. I’m disgusted that they knew I was buying a bigger vehicle for my young family yet still sold me a vehicle not safe or fit for the road.
      I spoke to ******* ********, ********* ***** ********, ***** **********, all of whom confirmed that I got taken advantage of by not receiving the summer rims/tires, safe winter tires, when considering the price I paid for the vehicle. According to them, the vehicle’s retail value was worth approximately $30,000 in the state it was sold to me.
      As a resolution, I would like the cash value of factory summer rims and tires, plus the cash value for safe winter tires for a total of $4000.


      *Note: Attached is the inspection report from ********* ***** ******* proving the tires are bald. Also - the original bill of sale. I never did receive the hubcaps by the way. The reason I
      am writing now is the Better Business Bureau was just recently brought to my attention, specifically your ability to advocate for people in situations such as mine.

       I have added our WORK PROMISED PAGE that you can clearly see he was not promised any tires or rims, he signed this  I added our inspection showing the tires PASSED *** inspection standards at time of sale 6/32FL  6/32FR   7/32RR  7/32RL I also added a copy of the *** Vehicles Standards showing tires UNDER 2/32 fail. I offered hubcaps to *********** the day he bought the vehicle because he thought the winter rims were ugly.  I provided the receipt for the hubcaps we bought him that he refused to take because "THEY LOOK CHEAP" according to him. When *********** and I sat down face to face there was no discussion of "Promised rims and tires"    He was there to ask me to BUY HIS VEHICLE BACK because he needed some money for a down payment to buy a house.  I explained that I was full on inventory and that he could go anywhere to sell it but I did not want to purchase the vehicle back. Then he asked me to "BUY HIM" rims and tires. I said I will not buy you tires but I will get you some at my discounted price and sell them to him for my cost.  He agreed, so I sent him to the shop to work with *** to make arrangements and pick out his rims. I have attached the copy from the shop that our customers get when we are doing work or they are ordering stuff. "REPAIR DISCLOSURE  PROMISE TO PAY"  As you can see there he APPROVED the purchase of the rims.  *********** has not paid for or picked up these rims, my company ate the cost and now have the rims in our inventory. There is no tires or rims ever promised to him, that is what he wanted.  I said no to buying back his vehicle and offered a cheaper way for him to get the rims he wanted. I also bought him hubcaps as I promised I would that he refused to take. ( they are still in my inventory also) I do not think Village Auto Sales/ **** **** has done anything wrong in this situation and hope after reading my message and seeing the documents, that you consider this manner closed.

      As I indicated in my original brief - the outdoor sales person communicated it came with summer tires and rims. This promise is what I continued referring back to with ****** and *****. I rushed through signatures and financing paperwork expecting everything to be honored. I was on no sleep with a 2 year old and 1-month baby waiting for me - the very reason why I had to get a larger vehicle.
      I was told the value of my 2022 *** trade-in was equal to the value of the ******* I needed to purchase. But the dealership needs to make some money as that’s how a business operates. Fair enough. There was no inventory in the city. Hence paying the $7594.59 minus the $1000 for the same black book value. (The price was inflated $1000 so I could get the loan ratified by **** - it needed to be over $7000 ****** said - that is why the $1000 rebate).
      A good question is: why after 5946 kilometers/ 6 months did ********* ***** ******* only offer me $24,000 for my vehicle? Why did **, *** only say it’s worth at most $26,000? Why did every dealership I go to give me such a low value for a car that I paid $36,594.59 - $30,000 trade-in 6 months earlier???
      I then asked each what would I get for the 2022 *** ******** with 23,000km (17,000km + 6000km). They all said $30,000.
      Every dealership that is except ***** ***** at Village Auto. Upon making my request for rims and tires and expressing my concern of my vehicle’s value he said my car was booked at $32,000. I told him I’d gladly take it - I’m buying a house and that would work just fine. Suddenly inventory was full and he had no need for it. He was not being honest with the price.
