I initally had set up a payment plan in June for 2 payments of $192. We had been going through some financial issues at that time and unfortunately, that payment was returned. I take fault for that happening on my end.
However, a payment was set up online through the Tek-Collect website around the beginning of August for $384 to be pulled on 08/16/2024. Tek-collect continued to call and state that they did not see a payment set up anywhere. A person spoke with my husband on 08/14/2024 and again told him that they did not see a payment set up anywhere. He went ahead and just paid it so that they would stop calling. They assured my husband that 2 payments would not come out, because the payment that I spoke about prior was never even set up.
Fast forward to yesterday, we have a pending amount on our checking account for $384. We called Tek-Collect again and they once again state that there is no amount due, so the charge will just fall off, due to it still being pending. We checked our account again this morning and it is now fully charged to our account and no longer pending.
My husband called them this morning and they again, told him that they show no other payments being made, aside from the 1 that he set up on 08/14/2024. We have sent proof twice to them of the account being charged more than once. They now state they are "investigating".
