My wife was contacted via text messages and when my wife was Inquiring why she was being contacted she was hung up on. This happened 3 times!! This is not at all acceptable! They need to re-train their customer service personnel ASAP!Harris & Harris, Ltd. Response

The employees interrupt you. They try to hide information and are very rude about giving information. Debt collector or not have some customer service. They seem to not want to let you talk about what you need and are constantly disruptive. They call after the allotted hours of the law also. Horrible debt collecting agency.Harris & Harris, Ltd. awful awful company! they made no attempt to tell me they had my debt and made me wait on the phone for a full hour without picking up my call when I tried to pay off my debt with them. Wish I could give them zero stars. I hate companies like this!Harris & Harris, Ltd. Response

Company made no attempt to reach out and notify me that they now held my account, I only found out when I wasnt allowed to renew my vehicle registration that a municipal court had placed a hold on my state registration and sold my fines to this entity. My state DOL stated that I need to either pay the fines in full or on a payment plan before I can renew my tabs, but the representative from *********************************************** claims I wont be in good standing until the fines are completely paid off and that my only payment plan is to pay 1/3 of the balance now and that its been accruing 12% interest since it was sold to them. It may not be criminal but it should be, the ***** does not do enough to protect people from sleazy organizations like this.Harris & Harris, Ltd. Response

If I could give a 0 I would. My mother repeatedly gets texts about money due to the ************************ I have never seen this bill. When I call the number, a robot says wait time is less than 30 seconds. Ive called 3 times now and listened to that awful classical music blaring in my earand have yet to reach anyone. I did have a different robot say to press 4 to leave a message. But then the classical music comes back on so it doesnt recognize pressing anything. Biggest scam of a company.Harris & Harris, Ltd. 0/5 would be more accurate for this predatory company. First, the rep I spoke to flat out refused to send a debt validation letter to me, which to be very clear, ALL collections agencies are required to provide by law. This is illegal and abhorrent behavior. Second, I supposedly entered collections three months ago and the notice they sent went to an address that does not receive any mail. They claimed to have sent notices by mail (despite the address being invalid) and never have received anything labeled RTS or undeliverable. When I pressed for proof of receipt, the rep said they didn't have to provide that and called it a "postal issue." Third and last, the way they conduct outreach to people is bananas. I received a spammy-looking text from them just yesterday for a debt that entered collections three months ago. When I asked why I wasn't contacted sooner in that three month timeframe, the rep said they don't have to do outreach "every day." So, seems like this company either is harassing you non-stop or you can't get in touch with them or get a clear answer at all. No outreach within three months is inexcusable, I can't pay something I was never notified of. To H&H, don't bother responding to this with your corny, canned response - it is unhelpful and a waste of time. And your recommendation to call is a joke, I've done that and been on hold for over an hour only to speak to an incompetent rep. **** never be doing that again, BYE.Harris & Harris, Ltd. Response
