I purchased ten (10) $25 discounted gift cards to SeaWorld from Raise Marketplace. After discounts, I paid $195. The gift cards were in the form of e-vouchers that clearly say on them that they can be redeemed online or ON LOCATION/IN-STORE. I used one of the $25 e-voucher gift cards online; however, SeaWorld's online sales system only allows you to use one gift card per purchase. After this discovery, I contacted Raise Customer Support and asked for a refund of $175.50 for the remaining gift cards I could not use online. My request for a refund was denied - I was told since the cards were delivered and have an active balance, I was not eligible for their one-year guarantee. At that point, I decided to print my remaining nine (9) e-voucher gift cards and took them with me to SeaWorld ******* on October 31, 2023. Once I arrived at ****************, I was told they do not have the capabilities of using the e-vouchers, as they do not contain the required barcode, and their point-of-sale systems do not allow for manual entry of gift card numbers. This issue was elevated by calling a senior member of SeaWorld ****************** on the phone, who confirmed the system will not allow them to manually enter an e-voucher number. Upon this revelation, I emailed Raise customer care explaining that their gift card e-vouchers do not work as described and could not be used on location/in-store. I asked for a refund of $175.50, to cover the remaining nine (9) e-voucher gift cards that could not be redeemed and used on location/in-store as described in the item description at time of purchase. This request for a refund was also denied. I sent several more follow-up emails to Raise Customer Support asking for a manager to reach out to me - but that never happened. Raise continues to sell these e-voucher gift cards on their website with the same incorrect use information at the time of this writing to you at the BBB.
