In June 2024, our vehicle was proceeding through a parking lot when a pickup truck backed out into the back passenger side. It happened so quickly, my husband had no time to notice - let alone react. Rather than accept full liability for their customer's negligence, ********************** opted to take 80% liability and hold us responsible for the other 20%. They had no police report - police refused to come out. Neither vehicle had a dash cam, and witnesses weren't available. Since we couldn't provide either, they decided to go the cheap route. The repairs were $6,000, and they begrudged 20% because they could. There's not enough policing of insurance company practices. We now have a dashcam since it's clear that unscrupulous companies like Allstate are more concerned with keeping their bonuses and profits than making customers 'whole' again. ****** this **********************, check the BBB, and you will see Allstate regularly denies valid claims. An Allstate driver accepted liability for damages to our car in an accident where our car we just purchased was totaled. We were waiting for reimbursement from Allstate and the amount they offered us was laughable and unacceptable. The offered amount was $6,000 less than what we had just purchased our car in full for. We all pay for insurance but when the time comes to be paid they s**** you!Review from Jeff T

Allstate insurance company is so bad with Communications and charges money without explaining or providing any documents to explain about the charges. There is no one to talk and customer service is worthless. When you email the manager to explain, they just ignore you. They charge us money for canceling our policy and when I ask for the breakdown and documentation and then they start ignoring me.. if I don't pay the balance, they will put on my credit. I hope they get in trouble with law one day for taking money from the poor and innocent people.Review from Ramey N

I was rear ended by a Allstate policy holder and Allstate knew they were liable! They are denying my vehicle to be repaired on an issue I found after being fixed. Beware of this company.Review from Jeanne M

Absolute abhorrent service. I will be canceling my policy as soon as this mess is over. I have been given the runaround by Allstate and the adjuster. No one has answers. My car was totaled & is currently waiting pickup. No one knows why it hasn't been picked up. Additionally, they give me 5 days for a rental (despite the accident not being my fault). I can't get a new car until the dealership receives the check. Cant receive the check until the car is retrieved. I have never seen such a lack of accountability and communication.Review from James G

I have *** having issues with Allstate since day one. Especially with my local branch headed by ************************** in *******, **. She is the worst insurance rep I have ever encountered. She does not care about her customers, it is impossible to contact her. She does not return phone calls, nor emails. I haven't spoken to this woman since I signed up with Allstate. Allstate's customer service is just as bad. They provide horrible customer care. They show no empathy to the customer, they just want the money. No accountability for the mistakes THEY make. I told them directly 2x that I needed to change my bank account information. Not only did they NOT change it after confirming they did. They continued to debit from the old account causing a return check plus fee, and loss of my discount. I called multiple times to have them fix this and they had the nerve to blame me for their mistake, and that the only person that can fix this is the one person I can't get ahold of, **************************. I really hate I wasted my money on this company. I will be leaving the first chance I get. I DO NOT recommend Allstate for anyone. Any insurance company is better than them.Review from GEORGES G

I have Roadside Assistance and had to call for a tow. The tow truck driver never came and I was stranded for 4 hours and when I had a chance to use another tow driver, they declined him and said they would have to cancel my existing tow to schedule another one, which would have been an additional hour+. I told them to cancel and ordered my own tow which came in 20 minutes. Now I am trying to get reimbursed, but they are telling me my claims have been used for the year and there is nothing they can do about it. Totally negligent business practices. *********** Insurance On June 17th I started a new plan for *********** insurance. I paid both in full for the year. Plan was set to begin July 3rd. On June 19th I called to cancel because I found a better carrier. I received no confirmation of cancellation or refund. Called June 20th they had not canceled my plan but did finally cancel that day. They said they won't initiate refund of payment until after July 3rd (2&1/2 weeks away). 1 complained, via numerous long conversations. I have received no notification of cancellation or refund to date. So they are sitting on my money when I don't have a policy. This is stealing my money, and communicating with this company is extremely hard because of automated messaging and no actual person to talk to. I have had Allstate for over five years. I noticed they put a stranger on my policy. I have been paying for two people on my policy for at least three years. I think they owe me money back. I figured at least *****. Or more. Trust me. I will let everyone know how crooked you are.Review from Gilbert M

After being with Allstate INS. *** for well over 10 years, no accidents for 30 years approximately. My wife switched to progressive due to rate increases and they dropped my car also. So now I have to wait over a week to get insurance again and can't drive my car.
