            I am not able to contact my home/car insurance company after submitting a claim for water damage at my home. We have tried calling many times and they are not returning our phone calls. We found water damage in mid February, 2024 where there is black mold and a non functional furnace (it was working before) and have not heard back on any details for coverage. They asked for electric and gas statements in March but they have not gotten back to us since then. We have called about 1-2 times a week asking to be contacted but they have not returned our calls.

            Our basement flooded this spring due to a sump pump failure. Thankfully, my mother has worked in insurance her entire career (including at Pioneer) and suggested we add some policies to cover something like this. Pioneer said we could choose our contractor, so we chose the company that previously finished the basement for us. Then Pioneer decided their quote was too high and refuses to pay for them to do the job. After I fought this decision, they send an outside agent to magically discover that the damage to the basement shouldn't have been covered at all! Not only did I pay my policy premium, I also paid for additional coverage that is now denied to me.Do not use this company. It is worth paying a slightly higher premium not to go through what we did. Stay far, far away.
