I took out a personal loan with SoFi in Aug/sept of 2023. The interest rate was ludicrous but it was quick funding. They keep sending me offers so I wanted to obtain a new loan with the 5% interest rate reduction. I have excellent credit. Have never been late or missed a payment. I have had a side business since 2016 that in Sept of 2023 I made my full time position. They keep telling me just one more document. I provide the document and then the same thing happens. I spoke to a representative and she says if you do not have a paystub then you upload 2 years of taxes which I did and clearly shows that I have made 6 figures each year. Then that is not good enough they ask me to write a letter stating what my business are. I wrote that letter and send it in. Guess what they go back to asking for my taxes. I asked them to close the application and they refuse to do that. How can I not qualify to basically payoff my current loan for a lower interest rate. They pull a hard credit inquiry ding my credit score and refuse to approve the loan. Oh yes thats what it is the lower interest rate. This is a most unprofessional company. Terrible customer service. I will NEVER do business with them again and I would not recommend them unless you cannot get a loan from any other source.Review from Aurora J

SoFi has had my government check, which was sent to an incorrect checking account, for over a month now. I have the tracking number for my money aas well as the account that my money was deposited intoSoFi Response

Terrible customer service. They run promotions and none of their employees are aware of them. They owe me money for a promotion bonus they had, and they wont pay me. They are trained to be rude to customers and scam them. I dont recommend SoFi.SoFi Response

I have two accounts with SoFi. One in my wife name that we have used for years. We use it daily, have the credit card, the **** we use the investing, we use every aspect of the app. I opened another account recently after getting another job and wanted to use the great savings rate to start saving money for our daughter. Ive only had TWO deposits, both from the same employer . SoFi froze this account and gave me a number to call. I called them they asked why someone was depositing money and what my relation was. Again.. its an employer and they are bi weekly payments (two of them). It has now been three weeks and they refuse to close the account, when I call they refuse to do anything but tell me to keep an eye out for an email. So my money for my daughter is stuck . I didnt want to close our 401k and other accounts (we have two 6 figure paychecks deposited weekly in other SoFi account) we use this bank as our main banking. But at this point when they wont even answer idk what else to do. Any suggestions? Our lawyer now wants us to file former complaints in the **************** and with the proper agencies.SoFi Response

They can't protect your money!!! They have only one job as a bank and they can't even do it. They let someone clear the same check number and check image twice from my account and then all of the sudden it was MY problem to get it corrected. Told me I can file a claim and maybe get my money back in 90 days. So unethical and wrong!! Nothing but dead ends and runaround, customer service is a literal bunch of clowns!! Would give negative stars if I could due to their weak technology and horrible customer service!! Closing all of my accounts with them today. Their loss!!! I am DONE!!SoFi Response

This is hardly even a bank. I have been dealing with a clear cut fraud case since December and have received little to no follow up, assistance, or support. It took about 10 hours on the phone over multiple days, re-explaining our scenario to finally have the investigation "opened". We received no updates or anything following that, and eventually were told that it was denied. We were surprised because it is clearly fraud. When we requested to see documentation or an explanation as to why NOTHING WAS SENT. WE SPENT AN ADDITIONAL 10 HOURS ON THE ***** ONLY TO HEAR THAT ONLY THE "BACK OFFICE" HANDLES THESE CONCERNS AND THEY COMMUNICATE VIA EMAIL. We found this extremely surprising as we had sent numerous emails prior to calling and received no answers. Emails that we did receive in response were so grammatically incorrect and non-professional looking that we thought it was a scam. To this point, we were now told that we have a credit for a partial amount of what was taken, saying that we can utilize this until the investigation is closed in APRIL!! This is roughly $6,000 that was taken from us over 90 days ago! We can never reach anyone on the phone, and when we do we are told to email. Then receive no email. I need my money back and would like to close my account immediately. This is unbelievable.SoFi Response

I had my tax refund deposited into this account. They then froze my account so now I cant access any of the money. Ive called them at least 11 times through out the week for seek answers and of course they had none. The here was no supervisor or manager available. Only thing they said was they could not access the account and I have to wait I asked how long they have no time frame. I do not have time for this at all I have to get to work I have children to feed I have bills to pay and this is really hurting my family at great lengthsSoFi Response
