    I signed up for service with Texpo in June. It has been nothing short of a nightmare. I use my bank to pay bills online, as I do with all of them. I paid the Texpo bill on-time, and it was posted before the due date. A few weeks later I received a disconnect notice. After about an hour on the phone I was able to speak with someone, who said they did not receive my payment, but would look into it and call back. Never got a call back, so I called again, spent another hour on the phone. I was told they might have found my payment, someone from accounting would call me back. Received a call a few days later saying the payment had been applied to my account. Next month, same thing occurred. I called, spent another hours on the phone, only for the rep. to say she doesn't know, can't find my payment. I asked t speak to someone in accounting and she said no one was available. I made another call the next day and was told they found the payment and applied it to my account. I asked for clarification as to why this has occurred twice, so the problem could be fixed(even if it was an issue with my bank's bill pay service), but never got an answer. I asked if there would be a late fee, since I did pay the bill on time, as I do with all of my bills, and was told no. The following month I noticed a $9.95 correspondence fee on the bill. I emailed this time, as it takes an hour to get someone on the phone, and was told it was for the disconnect notice. Every time you call they are "experiencing high call volume". This was now three months in a row with no explanation as to why this keeps occurring. Is there no check in place to show when a payment is made the name and account # don't match? I just simply do not have time every month to spend an hour on the phone trying to fix my bill. I informed Texpo I would be canceling my service due to these issues and was charged an early termination fee. Had they been willing to fix the issue the first time I would not have canceled service.

    I switched to this company after receiving an email survey from the city. I lived in saying they would do a survey to see if I could save on my electric bill. After being with *** ****** for more than 12 years I switch to this company. The first few bills weren’t anything out of the norm. But after three months, they got huge with no explanation. And then I got two big bills in August almost $780 worth of bills. and then they sold my account to another company. When I called them, they said we no longer have your account those or just your final bills in August. I never received a bill or information about the new provider. Mid September I got a past due bill from discount power for $360. This was 20 days into September. I contacted customer service for an explanation of my service and power usage and bill information. And they said that was for August. I explained I paid the other company this company in August more than $700. How my owing you for August? The representative had no explanation only information he said was, I could cancel I hung up and literally went to text you immediately. This company is crooked. Not legit starts off normal and will hike your prices up with all these fees at the end when they sell your service to another provider, which is equally as crooked. Stick with a legitimate company like *** *** ******.
