I have made a withdrawal from our RESP account on July 18/24 Followed all the instructions and after finalized, was advised funds would be credited to my bank account within 24-48 hours. I have not received the funds yet and am concerned something happed with the Crowdstrike global IT issue of July 19/24. I have sent an email and am also on an online chat....was advised an agent would respond and still no response. I am now on hold to speak with someone but on hold forever. Is there no actual customer service available? I am very worried I won't have access to funds and have a university deadline to send money....HELP ME!!!!!Embark Response

They take the money every month from the account without an issue. BUT, once policy is mutured it is impossible to get in touch with them. I feel the company is a **** they are getting money from policy holders and from the government. ** * ***** **** * ******** * ****** This company has THE MOST RIDICULOUS customer service I have ever experienced. We purchased ******** RESP when my daughter was six months old, now she is going to the university this fall. The ******** is now merged into embark.ca and I had experienced technical difficulty to create a new account on embark.ca. So I first called them last Friday but after almost 40 minutes of waiting there was no response and I had to disconnect to go to work. I also sent them an email but no action was taken from them. Now it is Wednesday and I am working from home so I am able to keep the phone connected. About 20 minutes into the wait the phone message announced I am the 13th in line and the wait time is 265 minutes! It also suggested using their online chat for faster and efficient response, so I did. You know what, at 1 hour and 20 minutes I am still waiting on both their phone and chat connection. If I was not locked by my daughter’s RESP, I would walk away from this business immediately!!! Terrible customer service! Will not return phone calls, emails or chat responses. We wanted to make a withdraw *** ** ******** *** *******. Sent in all the necessary paper. Since 3 weeks we're trying to get a hold of them. ** ***** **** ***** ** *** *** ********* ***** *** *******. Are they running out of money? Can not book an appointment, get kicked out of the chat 3 times now. No answer to emails.Embark Response

We have been contributing for almost 5 years now with knowledge first financial/embark. We didn't receive any communication regarding the recent migration of accounts. We only found out because we went to check the online account as our June contribution didn't go through. Not sure if suddenly the contributions have stopped. We have no access to the statements on this account so not sure what is happening with our money. When we try to schedule an appointment it says not available all through July or August. All the hard earned money we have contributed so far and no idea what's happening with it. When we call the number on website, it says high call volumes. Not sure how to get in touch.Embark Response

Terrible customer service! Will not return phone calls, emails or chat responses. Took over a year to receive an answer about an extra grant we applied for and finally found out it was never done. They keep saying "they're in a transition period so things are busy". ******* at returning calls, helping or responding. The first "account handler" they assigned us left the company and no one mentioned that to us. The second "account handler" also left and we were not notified. Now I'm being told that they do not have reps anymore and it's just a general team. **** *****Embark Response

I've been in contact with many of your "reps" and this problem has been ongoing for almost 2 years. I finally requested a manager call me back last week and had another customer rep contact me because "embark doesn't have managers, just a service team".Review from Cheryl V

Knowledge first/Embark is not a good value for investing in your child's education. So far my contributions have been eaten up by their exorbitant sales charges in the 1+ years that I have contributed. They have changed their name a number of times it seems. ****** ** ********** * **** ****** *** **** **** **** **** ******** I invested with them when they were called Knowledge first financial. they have now changed our plans without giving us a choice. before changing the plans they increased the transfer out fees to $210+tx to dissuade people from jumping ship. Now they are making more changes to consolidate all our childrens funds into one family plan. over the past few years that we have been with them, our Reps have kept changing yet they took out 9.9% of our total estimated fund's worth up front to pay these reps their fee * ****** **** * *** *** ****** *** ***** **** *******. ****** **** ****** you are better of investing at your bankEmbark Response
