How to Approve Receipt of BBB Emails

We're thrilled you've joined our community and we want to make sure you receive our emails. Here's how to add BBB to your contact list.

To make sure you receive emails from BBB:

Email hosts, such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc., may have junk email filtering settings that will block emails before they reach your inbox. BBB wants to make sure our emails don't go into your junk or spam folder by approving us.

To approve an email address just means you add them to your approved senders list. This tells your email client that you know this sender and trust them, which will keep emails from this contact at the top of your inbox and out of the junk folder.

Approving us will mark BBB as a safe sender, putting BBB into your email recipient list so when we send you an email it doesn't end up in your spam folder.

Messages received from safe senders or your recipients list will never end up in your junk email or spam folder.

How to mark BBB as a safe sender:

For Yahoo

  • Open an email from BBB in your inbox and copy the email address.
  • Click the Contacts icon in the upper right-hand corner of the email.
  • Choose Add a new contact at the bottom of your contact list.
  • Add BBB's contact details and paste the email address to the contact and click save.

For Outlook

  • At the top of the page, navigate to Settings - Mail.
  • Under Options, select Block or allow.
  • Enter BBB's email address that you want to mark as safe in the Enter a sender or domain here box.
Click the + icon next to the text box and click save.

For Gmail

  • Gmail does not offer safe sender options, but you can add BBB to your contacts list.
  • Open an email from BBB in your inbox. (If in your junk or spam folder, first click Report not spam).
  • Click the ... (more options) in the upper right-hand corner of the email.
  • Choose Add Sender Name to Contacts List.
  • A notification saying BBB has been added to your contact list will appear at the bottom of the screen.
