Ms. Ventura joined Better Business Bureau in 2000 as an Administrative Specialist. After demonstrated abilities in accounting practices, Ms. Ventura was promoted to Director and then Vice President before her appointment of Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Ventura is responsible for corporate, financial and business strategies, financial reporting, human resources, IT/telecom and administration services of the organization.

Ms. Ventura has a proven ability in cost reduction and has greatly reduced BBB expenses. As a pragmatic leader, she brings knowledge in financial planning and management, as well as, framework in governance structure, staff roles, marketing, publishing, meetings and more. Ms. Ventura oversees the Accounting, Human Resource & Administration departments.

In 2007, Ms. Ventura graduated from the Council of Better Business Bureau’s Professional Development Program after completing operations training, administration training and management training. Ms. Ventura also completed training with the Disney Institute, a recognized leader in experiential training, leadership development, benchmarking and cultural change for business professionals across the globe. In May 2009, Ms. Ventura was appointed a Notary Public serving The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She graduated from the FBI Citizens’ Academy in 2012 and is an active alumni.

Prior to joining BBB in 2000, Ms. Ventura was a Back Office Manager with Bob’s Stores, where she was responsible for store accounting, payroll and scheduling. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ms. Ventura is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management – SHRM, known as the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. It provides essential and comprehensive resources to professionals to ensure that HR is an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy. NorthEast Human Resource Association - NEHRA, is the largest, most influential professional HR organization in the Northeast. NEHRA’s goal is to help HR professionals connect, grow and thrive by supporting professional certification, providing relevant and timely educational programs, offering access to tools and resources, and creating opportunities to build meaningful relationships with peers and thought leaders. American Society of Association Executives - ASAE, known as the association of associations, is considered the advocate for the nonprofit sector. The society is dedicated to advancing the value of voluntary associations to society and supporting the professionalism of the individuals who lead them.

In her spare time, Ms. Ventura enjoys live music, reading, being on the water and travel. She is an active mother of four and believes in giving back to the community and those in need. Ms. Ventura proactively volunteers time to the VA and various organizations.
