BBB Serving Greater Cleveland: Students of Integrity

Students of Integrity winners are selected through an essay-based competition and personify ethics through leadership, community service, and actions.  Students are area high juniors or senior students from BBB Serving Greater Cleveland's five county service area. Winners recieve a scholarship and are honored at BBB's annual Celebration of Integrity.

Taylor Evans, Heights High School

Seaenna Morton, Scholarship Winner

Ohio Connections Academy  

An avid caretaker of animals, Seaenna is a longtime foster parent to cats and dogs. The role of fostering bloomed within Seaenna during her freshman year of high school, which coincided with the pandemic. Looking to provide a loving shelter until they were placed in their forever home, Seaenna has fostered over 150 animals since 2020. Her school’s Guidance Counselor, Deanne Anderson states, “[Seaenna] won the Volunteer of the Year Award” at one of the local animal shelters.

Gabriel Regis, Scholarship Winner

Lake Ridge Academy

Gabriel is involved in several school activities including mentoring at the Lower School, the Black Student Union, and the Lake Ridge Academy Book Club. In addition to all of the above, Gabriel is the Founder of his school’s literary magazine titled Long Story Short. The magazine, as he tells it, “is a place that gives a voice to the students of our school and allows them to creatively write or do an art piece and put it out about a theme.”

Amerlia Russell, Scholarship Winner

Mayfield High School

Along with running Cross Country and Indoor and Outdoor Track, Amelia is involved in the French Club and is the Captain of the Science Olympiad Team at Mayfield High School. Her leadership within the Science Olympiad Team inspired her to develop the Science Olympiad Council, which helps increase student participation across all grades.

Riya Verma, Top Scholarship Winner

Solon High School

Riya is an avid opportunity seeker helping her community in more ways than one. She is a member of Model UN, the Pre-Med Society, the tennis team, Future Problem Solvers, and the competitive Speech and Debate team. Riya founded HOSA - a club for future healthcare professionals. As the President, she brings in medical professionals and partners with organizations such as the Red Cross. Riya’s unparalleled approach to mental health has made her a strong advocate at Solon High School and in her community. She has acquired a seat on the community engagement sector of Cleveland’s Mental Health Committee. Through this experience, she’s been able to engage with community leaders and even helped create a pilot care response program.
