Better Business Bureau® Scambusters

BBB Scambusters® is an interactive game used to teach students skills to avoid scams. With studies showing young people are the most likely age group to lose money to a scam, BBB has focused Scambusters on Middle School and High School students to educate them on common dangers, and give them tools to protect themselves as they go through life. BBB staff present common scenarios that may, or may not, be a scam. Students are challenged to identify real from con. Students compete for right answers and points, creating a fun and engaging learning opportunity. BBB Scambusters® is available for in-person presentations or live through zoom. The free program runs about 1 hour, but can be tailored to your group. While initially geared toward students, the BBB can present Scambusters® to other groups as well.

Questions about the Scambusters® program or how to book a presentation can be directed to Troy Baker, BBB VP of Community Relations and Educational Foundation, at troy@westernmichigan.bbb.org
