Better Business Bureau serving Central & South Alabama is always looking to add professional, hardworking, dedicated personnel to our team serving the businesses and consumers of our communities. Our primary goal is to advance trust in the marketplace and we execute our mission from offices in Birmingham and Mobile. Our service area includes 50 counties of central & south Alabama.

Business Relations:

If you are a dynamic telephone salesperson who thrives in a fast-paced and highly competitive environment with experience, then this is your opportunity. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset that is excited to build their own business independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate has experience and a high ethical compass. If you are bilingual, that is a plus.

We will expect you to grow your client list. Consultants are required to make a minimum of 60 calls daily to qualified businesses in our service area and average ten new accredited businesses each month. An average day for you would include prospecting for new accredited businesses, explaining the benefits and services BBB offers and consistently closing and building sales.

    • Excellent communicator with strong, polite, and professional phone etiquette
    • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, strong research skills
    • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to achieve sales goals

Requirements:

    • Minimum of two years' experience in relationship selling. 
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
    • Proven success of exceeding business revenue goals.

Better Business Bureau Serving Central & South Alabama Fall Marketing Internship 2024

Mobile, AL Paid Internship (College-Aged Juniors and Seniors Preferred):  

The BBB Intern will:

  • Assist management team with community education programs, digital marketing campaigns, event planning
  • Create and edit engaging content to be posted across all social media platforms
  • Attend community events and network with local business leaders 
  • Assist and possibly speak at BBB Speaker's Bureau events
  • Manage 5-10 projects a week using skills in Adobe Analytics, Adobe Suite Line. Adobe video editing softwareMS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Excel, Blue Interactive Software, Tableau
  • Gain the opportunity for potential post-graduate employment, we have retained multiple interns for part-time or full-time employment

The BBB Intern should:

  • Be a self-motivated and resourceful problem solver 
  • Preferably has knowledge of Microsoft, Adobe, and Google programs
  • Be an individual with strong interpersonal skills that is detail-oriented and experienced with strategic planning and statistical analysis
  • Use critical and creative thinking skills to develop ideas that are innovative and effective

Birmingham, AL Paid Internship (College-Aged Juniors and Seniors Preferred):  

The BBB Intern will:

  • Perform customer service duties
  • Speak with consumers and businesses to assist with complaint resolution
  • Update databases
  • Research and obtain information for businesses in our service area
  • Complete specific projects assigned by the BBB management team
  • Gain the opportunity for potential post-graduate employment, we have retained multiple interns for part-time or full-time employment
  • Utilize web-based telecommunications, email, Microsoft 365, and Interactive Blue database to accomplish assigned tasks.

The BBB Intern should:

  • Be a self- motivated and resourceful problem solver majoring in Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc.
  • Has knowledge of Microsoft, Adobe, and Google programs
  • Be an individual with strong interpersonal skills and high technical skills that is detail-oriented and experienced with strategic planning and statistical analysis
