Gain by Giving connects BBB Accredited Businesses with BBB Accredited Charities so that businesses can give back and charities can find trustworthy allies to provide support and serve on boards.
Many businesses want to give back to their communities and show that their organizations care about people, as well as the bottom line. And business owners who give staff a meaningful mission and volunteer opportunities report higher staff retention rates. Meanwhile, charities want to operate successfully and avoid excess costs.
When BBB Accredited Charities need a new roof for their building, or expert advice on their programs, they want to turn to a business with similar values and a proven track record. BBB sends Accredited Charities' requests for assistance to BBB Accredited Businesses who meet their criteria, and then able and willing businesses can pledge to meet that need.
BBB Accredited Businesses who want to donate business services, volunteer hours, or service on charity boards are encouraged to work with BBB Accredited Charities. If a business wants to give back, but doesn't know where their help will do the most good, BBB will send the business's offer of service to Accredited Charities relevant to the business's interests, and then the business chooses which charity to help.
