BBB Serving the Fall Line Corridor's Education Foundation: "How To Buy A Car" Class

The overwhelming majority of today's consumers need reliable transportation to be successful.  The need for vehicle ownership is clear and widely understood; however, obtaining a vehicle leads many consumers into uncharted waters.  Consumers no longer need to navigate these waters alone, BBB is here to help.

There are many questions surrounding the purchase of a vehicle, and this interactive car buying game can help answer the majority of them.  For example, this course will answer the following questions:

  • Is the extended service contract (extended warranty) negotiable?
  • Can I return my vehicle after purchase?
  • What about all these new online car dealers?
  • Where should I purchase a vehicle?
  • I need money.  Is a Title Pawn a good idea?

As BBB witnessed a growing number of complaints from active duty military members over terrible automobile deals, it was time to act. Deals on Wheels was created by BBB Military Line with the young soldier in mind, who has just earned that first paycheck and was ready to purchase a vehicle.

This course challenges teams or individuals to think collectively, and then respond to the unforeseen expenses of owning a vehicle. The participant will hear often,  "a vehicle can make you money, or it can take your money".  While both exciting and enjoyable, this class works not only for young soldiers but for middle schoolers, high schoolers, parents and anyone looking to ever purchase a vehicle.
