About Complaint Services | BBB serving the Heart of Texas

BBB has made it fast and easy for people to file complaints. We take complaints against any business whether BBB Accredited or not.  We also accept complaints against charities and non-profit organizations. We primarily handle complaints relating to marketplace transactions, including advertising claims.  The process is free to customers.

Everything you submit will be forwarded to the business within two business days.  The business will be asked to respond within 10 days, and if a response is not received, a second request will be made.  You will be notified of the business’s response when we receive it (or notified that we received no response).  Complaints are usually closed within 30 business days.

If a complaint meets certain criteria, it must be accepted by BBB and treated as a complaint about purposes of reporting.

BBBs typically do not impose additional requirements, such as requiring that complaints meet a certain monetary threshold. And, while BBB strongly encourages consumers to first contact the business, a complaint will not be rejected because the consumer declines to do so.  See BBB's National Complaint Acceptance Guidelines for more.

What all happens when you file a complaint?  See our Complaint Process page for more details.

Another thing to be aware of is that the BBB office in your area may not be the BBB that handles your particular complaint.  For more information on this subject, click here.
