While I spent a couple of days carefully crafting an authentic and appropriate profile, I had my profile set to invisible. Once I was satisfied I made it visible, but I soon questioned if others could see it. When I used eharmony's help chat to inquire if there was a waiting period for it to be visible, I was told my situation would be addressed in 3-5 business days. What I got as an emailed response 4 business days later was: "Thank you for contacting eharmony regarding the restriction of your account. We have reviewed your information and see that a decision was made to restrict this account and have determined that the action was appropriate. Common reasons for restriction include but are not limited to: Members personal information does not coincide with information listed in public record Members behavior violated eharmonys Terms and Conditions of Service As a practice, we do not elaborate on the specific reasons as to why an account was restricted."I was truthful and kind-hearted in every statement I made, posted modest photos that I would've felt comfortable showing my mother, and had no interactions with others. That eharmony made this determination to cancel me without cause or transparency, and without recourse, completely discredits this service.

They are trash. They do not give you full information up front about payment options when you're creating your profile on the app. I thought I was pretty good at catching scams at my age, but apparently I'm not. I didn't even know they charged as much as they did until it was too late. I'm stuck in a contract for a year!? I'm paying monthly fees that are nearly $100. I'm so disappointed and furious. I contacted customer service, but I feel like they will just site what I've already read on their website. This entire thing is a scam. DO NOT BOTHER creating a profile. All of these dating sites are out to steal/con you one way or another. Erase everything on those websites ESPECIALLY on Eharmony. I deeply believe they are now legally allowed to just steal my money on a monthly basis. I'm so angry!

I wish I have checked BBB first before signing up for a year to eharmony if theres a 0 score, I would pick that . First the site is not cheap. The price was not really my issue but the amount of fake profiles whose main interests is to scam you . Some have pics so bad you know they photo shop it. Immediately they ask you to communicate using WhatsApp. I have been tricked so much that I have become an expert on tracking . Another issue is the amount of members without a pic. Baffling bc in this day and age of camera phone and you dont have a single pic? In my opinion not only am I being scammed by these fake profiles but also by eharmony. I cant believe they can get away with this and still in business .

WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!I honestly don't even know where to began. But I will do my best as a current paying member who is being drained finically from this greedy, lying and dirty company. 1) E Harmony is VERY misleading!! They put out advertising as if they are a free dating website.. They put so much money into ads and encourage people to create a free profile... then you spend such a long time taking a personality quiz and filling out your profile that you pour hours of work into. That's how they get you! You become so invested with all the work you put into the profile you are convinced that it will surely be perfect. However, once you are finished you profile is COMPLETELY USELESS!! You cant see or message ANYONE. There filter process is terrible at far as matching you with people who live way to far away!!! And they have tons of bot accounts just so you waste your time. 2) Pricing is disgusting. They offer long term contracts only!! And they DO NOT negotiate with there ZERO REFUND policy. They advertise as free... yet they FORCE you to sign a extensive and very expensive contract that NO ONE READS because they know you just spend hours perfecting your profile and the last thing you want to do is read is a extremely long fine print contract with a bunch of legal jargen that is designed to confuse its reader. They don't care about you or helping you match with anyone. They are shameful and they make sure you cant call them for help. They only allow you to email your concern and they ALWAYS respond with sending a heartless NO REFUND POLICY. They make sure they throw in your face that they own you legally and if you dare try and stop them from getting there payment, they will **** you down and threaten you with lawsuits and to destroy your credit, They are the worst scam company ever and they invest heavy into manipulation tactics. A one star review is beyond to good for them. I hope you don't fall victim to this!!

I thought I had cancelled this service. I received no notice that I was about to be charged $500. I received no reminders when this went unpaid after 14 days. I only received the reminder that you were considering releasing this amount owed to a collections agency. I cancelled the service again as soon as my bank notified me that a draft was attempted. I haven't used this service in months. These are predatory business practices, and no company that cared about their customers would charge a full year at $500, and follow up with a collection agency, when that service has been cancelled within a day into the term of an auto-renewal that was hidden in stacks of legal contract. This is a garbage service with garbage customer care and absolute predatory and deceitful business practices.

I belatedly realized that eharmony was not forwarding my messages because I was using my summer address outside the U.S.---I changed my address to my U.S. address, but my messages were still being blocked automatically. I used chat, I emailed customer service for help--was given a complaint number and assured of followup in a time frame; when that elapsed, wrote again, citing claim number, and was sent a new claim number and the same assurance that followup would occur in a 24 hour time frame. I call bullshit--no one is attending to this issue and there seems to be no recourse. I would like this resolved or money returned.

If I could give this business a 0 out of 5 I absolutely would. Their entire business model rests on the idea that their personality quizzes will match you with someone compatible. For a price that those in a vulnerable position are willing to pay for because of the promise that it implies. In truth, this business is a giant scam. Not only can you seek the same service with a similar outcome for far less than this price tag, those other services don't find clever ways to stick you with a ridiculous bill. I signed up for this service and was very sorely disappointed with the results. I was already sort of skeptical when I purchased the subscription that I made sure to disable any sort of auto renewal. Fast forward six months and I see a charge for $300 in my bank statement. I immediately logged in to confirm that the auto renewal was turned off, it wasn't. So I emailed them to receive a full refund on this renewal because it was only 1 business day after the charge had been made (Their policy states that you will have to cancel within 2 business days of the charge to receive a refund). I was informed that as a favor they would only charge me the single installment of $300 and that decision is final. Let me be clear, 1 day after the initial charge I called to inform the business that I do not want or need their service. They refuse to refund the amount, but rather charge me for a service that returned no actual value AGAIN. Even though I took every step possible as a customer to prevent this from happening in the first place. In my humble opinion, along with thousands of others who have already given their 1 star review. The business of eharmony is an absolute scam and should be criminally responded too. They should be held responsible for taking advantage of those that keep them in business. Let the 1.03/5 rating speak for itself.
