• What is the cost of your pet sitting and dog walking services?
• How far in advance should I book your services?
• Will you sleep in my house or visit during the day?
• How many times per day will my pet be fed, played with, and exercised?
• Will my pet be around other animals? If so, will their interactions be supervised?
• What are your requirements for vaccinations?
• Are you qualified to handle special needs pets?
• What happens in case of emergency?
• What are your cancellation policies?

Dog and cat sitter red flags

There are a few tell-tale signs that your cat or dog sitter doesn’t offer the best service. Keep an eye out for the following red flags. If you notice any, look elsewhere for pet care.

• They can’t provide you with any references.
• They don’t get along well with your pet.
• They aren’t comfortable administering medication to your cat or dog
• They are vague about when they will be at home with your pet.
• They don’t have the licenses and insurance that is required in your area.
