My minor childs account was sent to them. We were never informed of this by the medical office nor HCI. Attempted to contact on 3 occasions and get voicemail. Very unprofessional especially that it is preventing care from a medical specialist from a bill over 18 months old and had been seen multiple time until this account went ********************. Youd think theyd want to contact me or answer their phone but they have done neither.

I spoke to ****** from HCI and he was incredibly unprofessional. I was driving when I received the call and wanted to be able to get more information on how to pay, but with his attitude and call handling skills, I was taken aback when he proceeded to hang up on me saying call us back, bye. I wanted to resolve the account and was willing to pull over to get the information he was offering me. I called back while I was in the process of getting off the highway to get the information again, asking this time to speak to a supervisor and he again proceeded to be like, I can give you a phone number to call, told him to hold on I was driving, and again he hung up on me. I was able to reach a woman who treated me with respect and kindness - I resolved the issue with her. The bottom line is this: if you have a consumer who is wanting to resolve their debt, you can easily stay on the phone with them while they work to do that. Hanging up on your consumer and being rude to them while they are attempting to resolve it? I would argue thats not what your company wants you to do. Being a debt collector myself, I was appalled, because helping the consumer should be the first priority. ******, I dont know why you acted the way you did, but moving forward, I hope you treat your consumers better - especially if they want to pay you and add to your commission.
