I received an email today from Sirius XM radio alerting me that my payment was declined. When I called the customer service line and explained to them that I do not have a current account with them they confirmed that. However, they also confirmed the last four digits of my credit card and told me it was declined. I asked them why if I did not have an account how could they be charging my credit card. They could not answer my question. Fortunately the credit card they had on file had expired but the fact of the matter was they were still trying to collect payment for services not rendered. If I was not a person that checks my bank account and emails daily and my credit card had not expired they would have taken money from me illegally and gotten away with it.
