I received a text message on an "Amazon Prime Day" (Aug. 12, 2022) saying My "Prime membership" could not be completed. It included a link so that I could view the error and update my information. It did not mention "Amazon". It came with a "secure https://" link for me to click. I knew it was a fake because my Prime membership renewal occurs in a different month, and I regularly use a saved credit card at that site. I had used it in the past week, and received my order the day before I received the text, so I knew nothing was wrong with my payment method. I don't know how they got an https:// address, and that confused me. I did not click on their link, but went to the site to ensure that my information was okay, and it was. Here's the message I received from 1-669-338-8883: "Prime Membership - The renewal of your subscription could not be completed. Please log to your account to view the error received and update your information to avoid any interruption of services. https://notificationmembership.com"
