These bastards sent me a letter inviting me and my mother to their presentation at the Doubletree Hilton in Torrance sometime in August. They were very nice and they gave a convincing presentation that they genuinely wanted to help me and the other students there succeed... in exchange for $2000. My mom agreed to pay in installments and everything was going fine until I reached out to the coaches I realized that they were taking a long time to respond so I informed my mom she had suspicions so the next morning she called their number which turned out to be fake since when she picked the option to cancel the subscription, she was left on a hold and then the call went to voicemail. While I was at school, I got an email from the email coach thanking me for sending them my PIQs and EOP questions and saying that the coaches would need at least 10 days to review them. When I got home, my mother told me that Help For College Now was nothing but a scam. It turns out that when I got that email 30 minutes after my mom left a voicemail that she wanted to cancel the subscription. These people have been targeting families for God knows how long and they are most likely racial minority families. Since the employers at the meeting were all White and the families that were there, including us, were either Black or Brown. I want these people to be sitting in jail cells for what they did and I want it to be done now.
