I am a commercial real estate operations manager and our ownership sent us a notice from VertPro saying we had to submit payment immediately to meet energy compliance standards. Once I had filled out our profile and had gotten everything set up, we were sent a QR code for payment. I sent 3 emails asking for a proper invoice as our company does not pay via QR code and only received spam like emails demanding immediate payment and our deadline is fast approaching and alluding to building violations and fines, etc. After my 3rd email, of which I felt I needed to find out if an actual human was running the email they have posted, someone informed me that we did not, in fact need to worry about payment because our building did not have to comply. Had I not emailed multiple times, no one would have let us know we DIDN'T need to pay $295.00 as apparently we have paid this before pre-COVID.
