I received a random email from an organization stating that I was pre-approved for a job, but they wanted me to apply further. I didn't think anything of it at the time because I was completing hundreds of applications a day and although I didn't recognize the company's name, I figured it was an "easy apply" job I had applied for and moved on to the next or that they had run a search and found me on a job site search. They offered me an Accounting Assistant position, paying $42,000 annually and asked me to complete a formal application and send a copy of my driver's license or passport. I thought it was strange that the instructions specifically said to cover document information or personal information. (Normally, that information is processed on the I-9 to verify citizenship status). I was then handed off from the HR Manager Diana Richardson to Manager Lindsay Rose. I asked both ladies if I could schedule a phone call or Zoom/Teams. Originally, I asked to "verify some questions about the role" but after neither of them answered me via email (and the phone number on file does not connect to anyone), I emailed back and said I am not comfortable sending my bank information until I can verify your company. Crickets after that. No response whatsoever.
