*** is a con-man and there really is no nice way to say this. **** **** is a hired contractor paid to service the apartment building I live in. I was having trouble with my heat so the manager sent ***** out to deal with it. Upon arrival *** grabbed the thermostat unit and when I say 'grabbed', I mean more *** "snatched" it from the wall exposing all of the connection wires. Not at all the gentle touch you'd expect a person to have who opens thermostats for a living, but of course, he acknowledged this and he quickly reattached the wires l*** any good repair man should and led me to believe that this was the fix to my heat not working. Problem being, this was not the issue that caused my heat not to work and so the next day I contacted the manager again and they sent him out again and this time he went up on the roof to fix something and well, then the heat miraculously worked, which would imply that the problem was never the thermostat, it was an issue with something on the roof top unit. But then, this is where things get complicated. You see, the manager reached out to me and accused me of causing the initial issue and cited a report from *** that it was my 'poster' that hung up above the thermostat control that caused this issue and then she complained about having to pay $275 for the repair that was caused by my poster. Do keep in mind we are talking about a framed 24" x 36" standard poster that had been hanging just above the thermostat for several months at this time and the **** had been working prior to this. It would seem that *** thinks he can just send a **** to the manager for a problem he caused in the first place and then blame the problem on me. Now I do not know how many other tenants or how long he has been ripping people off but I am not one to just let things l*** this slide and I am hoping that my complaint encourages others he has conned to come forward as well. *** needs to refund the money he billed the manager and issue her a formal apology for this transgression as well as surrender his contract with my apartment if he'd l*** me to remove this complaint. Con somebody else.....the gig up!
