In February 2024, I entered a home renovation agreement with "Handyman Pros ***** and its owner. The work was supposed to be completed by the end of March, but I was left to endure subpar work that dragged on for two additional months. This nightmare renovation was filled with intimidation, harassment, mansplaining, and blatant misogyny. Labor cost: $12,600.63. Materials cost: $11,687.69. Issues:1. Theft of Items from Home: My personal items were searched, some stolen, and I was told others were discarded (I was out of state and had a lockbox for access). Despite asking ***** to return all items taken from my home, this was not done. I had to continuously ask for items once I noticed they were missing.2. Damaged Kitchen Countertops: The new countertops were ruined because the wrong screws were used to secure them.3. Chipped and Damaged Bathtub 4.. Botched Tile Job: The bathroom tile job was so poorly done that I had to compromise on a solution that wasn't what I wanted.5. Damaged Kitchen Cabinets: My new kitchen cabinets have chips and damages, with some not even properly secured to the wall.6. My custom blinds were damaged, and I am now in the process of getting them repaired and reinstalled.7. I am now receiving harassing text messages from *****. The latest message, received today (6/5/24), appears to be in retaliation for my negative review. As a woman being harassed by a man who knows my home address, I am experiencing severe emotional and psychological trauma, living in fear that he might show up at my house. This is a serious safety concern that I intend to report to the police. I am currently gathering documentation to file a comprehensive police report.8. I am also forced to hire someone else to fix the numerous errors from this job.Note also that the materials purchased for my home renovation were kept by the company.
