Lynn and Sean M. Are two very incompetent and unprofessional people who work for this very unprofessional company. Lynn called me and could not get a hold of me, so she decides to call my husband, who told her I was not available since I was at work. Lynn had the NERVES to TELL my husband to call me on a three way call! I then called back to make payment arrangements and spoke with Sean, who said he was Lynn’s supervisor. I let him know I could make a payment of $500 now and the rest would be weekly payments. He said “ Why don’t you give $800 right now?” I said: “ If I had it to give I would”. He then asks: Why don’t you take the $300 from the card where it shows you have available credit? It’s not that you Can’t pay $800, you don’t want to”. ?? He doesn’t know my finances! I let him know we had just gone through a hurricane in my area in case he was not aware. After the payment arrangements were discussed and agreed upon (and after a long brief hold while he worked his “magic”), he comes back on the phone and I give him my card information for the first payment. He then says, “BTW, I am looking at your house online right now and it’s very nice with xx bedrooms. Let me ask you, is it all brick, all the way around? ‘ To which I answered yes, and he says “well you probably didn’t have any major damage done to your house from the hurricane. ‘ I let him know I felt offended of having my home and my privacy invaded and his attitude changed completely at that time. He said he did not have to take my payment and as a matter of fact, the payment I had agreed on was canceled and so was the settlement agreement. BUT he still ran my card and took the payment! This isn’t even the full story but you get the picture. I forgot to mention that they even called my son looking for me and harassing my son. These people are something else. They will not get my money even if it affects my credit.Review from Jessica L

Please review Florida Statute Pursuant to section 559.72 - Chapter 55 - Prohibited practices generally. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0500-0599/0559/Sections/0559.72.html Link provided incase you need a refresher on FLORIDA LAW. As New York’s Laws do not apply to FL consumers when attempting to collect a debt & I intend on pursuing legal remedy & appropiate action for the verbal abuse of debt collector Ryan B*****. Verified employee of this company & I also confirm with him & his affiliate that was recording the phone call that will be provided as evidence of his violation of FL Law in many sections of the above attached FL statutes.Review from Damian W

Someone by the name of Ryan called my cell phone today looking for my father. And when i called them back, Ryab ansered the call and all i had told them was that i had gotten a call and that i was wondering why. He told me that he was looking for *insert name of father* and only then did i say that i was his son. I asked again what it was about and Ryan said that my father would have to "give disclosure because of a Law" but never said what type of law. And that "You obviously know what this is about" and hung up on me. After reaching out to my father, we both agree that the call seemed like a scam, since he doesn't even know my phone number, and i wouldn't be a good second number for reaching him since i live states away.Review from Lisa W

I set up a payment plan with a Mr. P******* and they never took the money out of my account. I have since lost my debit card and am in the process of getting a new one but the card was lost after the date ARS was to take the money from my account which was supposed to 9/29/2023.This arrangement was supposedly made on a recorded line now I received a phone call that my account is in default this is not my fault this ball was dropped by ARS! Now the voicemail I just received on 9/30/2023 says this will be sent elsewhere for collection. ARS you need to get your act together as I did agree to pay this debt and now I am told I am in default because there was no action taken by ARS.Atlantic Recovery Solutions, LLC Response

ARS was in receipt of a monthly arrangement for the balance of the consumer's account to be paid on the last Friday of every month beginning 9/29/2023. ARS attempted to run the first payment on 9/29/2023 and received a decline message from the consumer's bank stating that the card was closed. ARS has made several attempts to contact the consumer to find out the status of the account to no avail. ARS is more than happy to re-establish the arrangement if the consumer would recontact us.Review from Lora A

On 4/20/23 I was contacted by ARS to let me know that the payment plan I set up was in default due to wrong banking info. The young woman was very rude and seemed agitated. She put me on hold for over 3 mins trying to recover my bank info. When she returned she explained that the info was deleted. I simply said to her that I would prefer to go online because I sensed her spirit was troubled. I said this because I felt uneasy and didn't want to get into a verbal altercation. She said there's nothing wrong and if that's how you feel here's the website she said it so fast I didn't get to write it down or take down my client # and then she hung up in my face. When I called back I spoke to the male receptionist, I ask for a supervisor and he says that he was in charge, I said, NO I would like to speak with a supervisor or HR dept. He laughed and said but why would you ask her about her spirit being uneasy? I said because she was rude. He said Oh, I see let me connect you to one of the WHITES because I can see that's what you are use to dealing with... What a RACIST remark!! And these are the trustworthy people you have working for you...In collections?!! I'm seeing my lawyer!! I have requested multiple times for an updated report on my account. I am in no way trying to get out of paying my debt. However; how can you pay something when you have no idea what is owed. I have emailed a Michael F****** (Director of Operations) multiple times, the info email address on their website multiple times as well as a Patricia S**** (Director of Operations.) On Monday the 3rd of October I received 5 voicemails re: the account. A North B***** or Noris B***** the name is unclear as well as a Alan S****. 1 voicemail would have worked but 5 seems like over kill. YES I did save all the voicemails for proof. I have never once received anything in righting to home address and it is pulling teeth to get updated statement. Their website only gives you the option to pay. No way to view previous payments. Company belittles you and puts you down fully. Last rep i just spoke with begged me not to file a complaint against the company? How come? Because overkill is your thing? First voicemail was received Friday the 30th of September and i instantly requested statement so i know how much to pay.Atlantic Recovery Solutions, LLC Response

We contacted Ms. ******* ******** in regards to her delinquent ***** ********** account ending in ******** that was placed in our office for collections under her name. We were asked to contact Ms. ******** in an attempt to remedy the specific account. When we receive these accounts from our clients, they come with several different phone numbers already listed on them. We do not know to whom those numbers belong to, unless we speak to someone on these numbers. Furthermore, after reviewing the recordings and notes on this matter, we are not sure how Ms. ******** numbers was attempted several times in a short period of time. We are conducting an internal investigation to determine how this error occurred. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Since receiving the complaint, we have ceased any further communication with Ms. ********. Also, we closed here account with our office and forward back to our client. We will not attempt to contact Ms. ******** again from our office.Review from Jessica A

They Call me before 8 am my time which I have reported. I have been working with this group for a while now and have made on time payments. My debit card got stolen and I have fraud on my card. Currently waiting on a new one. my due date is today and I already had 2 calls before 8 am. I have asked them to take off other numbers and they stated they would so they can contact me directly and that hasn't happened. The only person I have liked dealing with is Patricia and her and I email back and forth. The shady calls however need to stop.Atlantic Recovery Solutions, LLC Response

We appreciate your concerns and understand in this atmosphere of predatory practices by other more unscrupulous companies, it is easy to be wary of all. We do in fact make calls to all numbers provided to us to reach and verify correct contact avenues. We apologize if that lead to us contacting family members. We have a standard voice mail message as dictated by the CFPB and are reviewing calls made to you to be certain those messages followed federal mandates, if we find that was not the case, action will be taken to correct this in the future. It is our intent to always provide the people we assist in a friendly and customer service first approach. We truly regret any interaction with our company that did not meet or exceed that expectation.
