Description of work performed: Winter Tire changeover and steering rack replacement Car: 2009 ****** Forester Total cost: $2,500 1) My old tires were either lost or stolen. I told the shop to leave them in the back of my car. They weren't there when I picked up my car. I asked about it and they couldn't find them for me. I was told "your tread depth was only ____ millimeters and there was a nail in one of them." I was extremely puzzled. How could he remember those details yet not know what happened to my tires?2) My traction control light is now ON all the time. When I picked up my car, I was told "your traction control light was ON when we pulled it into the shop." There are two problems with this statement: First, that light has never been ON for as long as I have owned the car (4 years). Second, if that light was ON when they first pulled the car into the shop, I should have been told about it before they worked on my car.3) Overall, the communication from A&A throughout my experience was poor. If they tell you, "your part will be here on Thursday and it should only take one day to get it installed", don't expect them to call you when that doesn't come true. Mechanics are notoriously behind schedule (for good reason many times), but the good ones will take initiative to call you when they can't meet the original timeframe.This was my first experience with this shop. Hopefully, it will be my last. My only reason for going back would be if my steering rack fails to make it past the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty.
