Hello! I had a really bad experience with Coala Hair Company. I had a haircut appointment today 10/28/2022 at 12 pm with ****** (owner and master stylist). When I come there he asked me to wear a mask he was wearing a mask too. I am absolutely ok with it. I wear a mask. I had covid around a month and a half ago. For today I am absolutely covid free. He asked me about it, and I told him. I have a cough and I am allergic. I coughed two times and after it, he told me that he will not finish my haircut because I am coughing. It wasn't an endless cough, just two times and I was in a mask. But he kicked me out of there with the wet and unfinished haircut and said that I can finish it at home. He was rude and told me that I must tell him when I came that I am coughing because it is the covid rule, so you can't come to any place if you're coughing and that I should know about this rule. I don't have a covid! What if someone's cough is allergic? They should stay home forever? But he charged me $65 for all that bad service. Now on the right side of my head hair is a half inch longer than on the left side and I have to make an appointment at another place to fix it. I feel like he poured on me a bucket of dirty water. I was crying when I sat in the car. It is so bad! I would like that he refund me $65. Businesses shouldn't treat customers in such way!

      Resolution Specialist:

      1. ******* ***** was asked to bring a mask with her confirmation the day before, she declined.

      2. There is a sign on the door entrance asking clients not to enter the business without a mask. She disregarded the notice.

      3. Every new client is given an information sheet. She declined to complete it.

      4. Ms. ***** claimed she had recently had Covid, however she showed a lack of regard for others with a lingering cough and not bringing her own mask.

5.I told her that I live with a 91 year old mother-in-law who is a cancer surviver. She showed a total lack of empathy to me attemping to protect an elderly person from Covid.

      6. Ms. ***** had deep gutteral cough, she claimed that she had allergies although she never explained what type (there is no pollen nor dust at this time of year plus our building has air filtration system).

      7. The haircut was complete and I had started blowdrying her hair. When she started intensively coughing again, I told her that I could no longer work on blowdrying it.

      8. Ms. ***** never supported her claim with receipts nor named the salon where she needed to go to finish her haircut. I discount her claim as an irresponsible lie as her haircut was complete.

A word of advice to Ms. Ellis, due to her allergy claim, she should always wear a mask when in close proximity to others or in a crowd.  Obviously if she feels she has a peristent allergy cough, respect other people and their concerns at all times.
