On October 15, 2023, we reserved and paid in full ($3,948.00) for 15 night rental for pick-up on July 19, 2024 through August 3, 2024. Alaska Motor Home, Inc. sent an email on June 12, 2024 @ 11:55 PM GMT stating "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Alaska Motor Home, Inc. will cease operations at 5 PM on June 14th. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact your credit card company to dispute any charges from us". Alaska Motor Homes website is no longer accessible. We have filed a case with the credit card company for investigation.

This was the second time we have rented from Alaska Motorhome, the first being during the summer of 2019. Due to the pandemic, we had to change our travel plans from the summer of 2020, to the summer of 2021. Originally, we had scheduled a 12 day trip in *************************** from ******. Of course, all travel plans were put on hold. Alaska Motorhome was not able to refund our money, but offered several options for us to be able to use our rental. Without our ** ****** and with so many businesses being closed down, we really didn't have a desire to rent that summer - even though they would have let us break the rental down into long weekends, or any other configuration we desired. They also offered the possibility of using it in 2021... or if need be, 2022. The summer of 2021, our friend was still unable to fly to us, but since we had remained pretty self-quarantined, we decided it was time to get out to enjoy our great state with a bit of "stay-rationing"! **** was happy to let us split our 12 day rental in half, using the first 6-day rental in June, and the second in August. We had two AMAZING trips! The 30' rig we rented was fabulous, as was the service between **** and ***. They really went above and beyond to make sure we had all the details we needed, and were comfortable before we drove off the lot. We were able to visit Portage, took the ferry in our rig to ***********************, and a memorable drive home. In August, we enjoyed ***** Russian River, ***** and Quartz Creek. We truly couldn't have asked for more! Very thankful to have ****** "hotline" while we were on the road to ask a couple quick questions when they arose. He answered immediately, and solved our minor dilemmas, making our summer a most memorable one, especially in light of the continued swirling virus. The return of the ** was just as easy as the pickup. I am VERY sorry to hear about those who have not had the great experience we had. I know in our experience, that does NOT seem to be normal practice for this company. This pandemic has certainly thrown a monkey wrench into many businesses, I'm just sorry this had to be one of them. Truly, we cannot recommend Alaska Motorhome more highly!

Great experience using Alaska Motor Home. We had rescheduled our July 2020 due to covid and scheduling was no problem. We were able to get the same amount of days with no issues. They picked us up at the airport, took us to thier location, did Orientation and we were on our way. We had no issues with the rv or the return. Loved dealing with them.
