This business has been performing site work on construction site just behind my home. For approximately 1 month since early May 2022 they have been performing vibratory compacting which has been causing extreme vibrations throughout the homes in my neighborhood. I have had damage to my home and a sinkhole has opened a few houses down. I tried to speak with the crew from Interior Excavation about this. Crew leader was rude, refused to provide me with any information regarding their permits, or their insurance company. Called business office. Receptionist pleasant, promised management would call me back. No one ever did, and they will now not answer my calls. Apparently not interested in taking any responsibility for damage caused to the neighborhood.

      Good afternoon,

We received a letter today from the BBB with a complaint from a ***********************.  We have spoken with ************** on several occasions, and our insurance company has also spoken with him.  ************** is not our customer.  We were hired as a subcontractor to work on a commercial piece of land next to **************.  There was also another contractor working on the highway on the other side of Mr. ****** house.

We have asked ************** for his insurance information so that we could have our insurance carrier speak with his.  ************** will not provide his insurance carrier.  ************** has continually harassed us with phone calls, showing up at our place of business, and on the job site.  Additionally, he wrote a bad review of our company online.  As I stated to ************** numerous times this is between the insurance companies.

We have not refused **************.  We have only asked him repeatedly for his insurance company to contact us.  I re-iterate that our insurance carrier has spoken with ************** as well.

Please advise on what I need to do remove this from our record with the BBB.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am rejecting this response because:This is a completely inaccurate portrayal of events. At no time has anyone from Interior Excavation or their insurance provider asked for my insurance provider's information. No one from Interior Excavation has spoken with me other than one job site ******* who was very rude and completely dismissive of my concerns, and someone who answered the phone and twice told me that the owner would call to discuss my concerns with me, which never happened. There is no reason that no one from Interior Excavation could not calmly and professionally discuss my concerns about the damage that has been caused to my home and take some common-sense precautions to keep further damage from occurring. When speaking to their insurance carrier ****************** I was told that my only recourse if no one from Interior Excavation wanted to work with me, would be to file suit in civil court to recoup cost to repair damages, at which point insurance company could become involved. This is not an insurance company problem as ************** would like to conveniently classify it as, but something that could most likely be solved by someone from his company simply acting with some concern for the impact their activities are having on the neighbors of the property on which they are working. One would think that as members of the small community that we all live in this could be handled by discussing things person to person. Sincerely,

      ***********************

I did contact the owner of the property where ************** says we caused a sinkhole.

The owner of the property with the sinkhole met me at the site and told me that we did NOT cause his sink hole.

Please let me know if you need anything further.

      I truly appreciate your time.

I can only state again that we have asked for his insurance information or to have his insurance contact us.  ************** was on site and talked to 2 people.  Both of which said to have his insurance company contact us.  He was also told on the telephone when he called the office to have his insurance company contact us.  We have not tried to avoid or get out of anything.  We all pay insurance premiums for insurance and part of that is the insurance companies talking to each other and sorting these matters out.  There was also another construction company working on the highway for a while that runs right next to Mr. ****** house.
