In march we had an inspector from this company come out to inspect a house we had put an offer on. The inspection day came and went, with no problems. So we thought. On March 2nd, I reached out to the company to inform them that they missed a major safety concern during the inspection. The door in the house we just purchased had been previously kicked in and the door frame was shattered. The pieces had been caulked back together. It was a very sloppy job at that.***** responded to my email and asked when she could come out to look at the door frame. So we agreed on a time. Prior to the appointment I sent ***** a message to let her know my husband had an emergency call and he would be later than he originally thought. Instead of responding to the email, requesting a different time, she sent us a very nasty message (screenshot included). Her last email (screenshot included) acknowledges that her inspector missed the broken door frame, but instead of taking responsibility or even apologizing, she proceeded to tell me that she recommends that "...you worry less about the 1/2" wood that provides little security..."I am baffled by ******* response to me. Her company robbed us of making the best and safest choice for our family. Had this major detail been made known to us we would have completely changed how we would have proceeded with the home purchase. We would have requested it be fixed correctly or an allowance for us to do so. But that choice was taken from us by this office. This inspection was an utter failure! And ***** refused to provide a resolution to their mistake. This company has left my family with a shattered door frame, with a completely unacceptable patch job.I expect a sincere apology from this office along with a plan to correct this major oversight.

I've included the full email conversation for review.  The client (wife) started off with exaggerated claims, inflammatory language, and untrue accusations; unreasonable by all accounts.  The client provided a picture of a door jamb with a crack and described it as shattered.  The jamb had been broken and had been repaired in a typical manner.  The client only noticed the jamb when they were installing a new deadbolt.  I offered to stop by to assess the repair in person but they weren't home at the scheduled time.  They sent an email at 3pm, which I saw at 4pm, to say the husband wouldn't arrive until about 4:30pm.  They had offered to give me a code but the wife didn't provide the code in the email when she knew the husband would be late.  I waited until 4:45pm and again checked email for an update but there wasn't one so replied to let them know I was leaving. If they aren't considerate of my time I see no reason to keep pursuing them. I later emailed and provided information on how they could affordably (less than $20) add a security strike plate to the door, making it more secure.  I had taken two types of security plates with me when I visited their house and I would have left them with the one of their choosing.  They emailed me the next day, just more complaints, not "I'm sorry we couldn't make it."  When I read the first sentence and saw the wife claiming my email was aggressive, I decided it wasn't worth exchanging words with her.  She's just plain rude. We will not pander to her type.
