In August 2022 I purchased a ****** 4Runner from Sunny King Honda, **********. The vehicle had ***** miles so I was very concerned about the major service that is required at ******* miles. I purchased the ***** warranty and maintenance contract so I would be covered. Because of the mileage I ask both the salesman and the finance manager, TWICE, if all the MAJOR SERVICE had been completed because it was right at *******. I was told by both that it had been. After driving **** miles it was due for an oil change. I took it to Sunny King ****** for service. After inspecting it I was told that it needed numerous services because it was over a ******* miles, ******* miles. I when to Sunny King Honda and was told they did a safety service not a full ******* service. I was completely MISLED on what service they preformed. It will cost about ******* to have the services completed they fail to preform. TOTALLY MISLEAD!!!! Hondas finance manager said what do you want me to do. My reply was provide the major service that you told me were done!!! Nothing was offered to resolve this issue. If you buy there beware of what your told. I nor the people I know will ever do business with Sunny King Honda again. Great services from Sunny King ******!Business response

I am rejecting their response because:I purchased a vehicle warranty for 48 months/48000 miles with the vehicle . This isnt a warranty issues. The issue is that the salesman and finance manager both told me that all service was preformed and that none was required in the near future. My concern was that the vehicle had around ***** miles and I knew a MAJOR service was required at ******* miles which is an expensive service. I was told it had all required service. I paid cash for the vehicle.
My issue is that when I took the vehicle to Sunny King ****** for an oil change after only **** miles I was told that there were several services needed on the vehicle for ****** service. I paid over ****** to have some of the services completed and still all services havent been completed. When I returned to Honda and raised the issue of why was I told it had all the services related to ****** service. When I ask the finance manager about it I was told there really not needed but ****** dealer disagrees and said they need to be done. There was a ZERO offer to even address the issues!!
The major issue is I paid ********* for this vehicle with the understanding that NO SERVICE was required and **** miles later I need to pay ******* for services. I was deceived by Sunny King Honda employees and Im very disappointed. Their resolution NO WARRANTY is unsatisfactory! Not a warranty issue. Never was a warranty issue but being deceived by their employees. I could never recommend this dealer to anyone to include friends or family member to buy from them in the future. Be cautious about what your told by employees.
This issue isnt satisfactory to me.

The customer inquired about 100K maintenance and was told it is a suggested maintenance. At the time of purchase there were no maintenance lights on or indications the vehicle required maintenance at that time. We do not perform suggested future maintenance prior to selling a vehicle. Our service department inspects all vehicles, and we do any needed maintenance or replacement parts prior to the sell.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:When I ask both the salesman and finance manager about the upcoming ****** miles, knowing that it was an expensive service (*******) they both said all services have been preformed and none were required. I purchased the vehicle, warranty and maintenance plan but this service isnt covered by these.
I was CLEARLY mislead by them telling me that services wouldnt be required because ALL service were completed. I asks them numerous times about this upcoming service. I purchased this vehicle in good faith, but they didnt sell it to me in good faith. I trusted what I was told but I only got part of the truth from the employees. Im very happy with the vehicle but will always be disappointed in the salesman and finance manager providing misleading information to me to help sell the vehicle.
Be cautious of what your told by the employees of this dealership. If I had any idea that I was being provided incorrect information about future service they would have lose a ********* sale and I would have purchased another vehicle from Sunny King ******************* by business again and I share my story of this situation at every opportunity with those I know. Not the way to run a local business.

I thought I had bought a used 2017 Honda CRV that I absolutely loved, but was lied to and had to return almost 2 weeks later with no detailed explanation. I gave them $1500 down and thought I was approved. I provided them with paystubs and everything. After 2 weeks was rudely informed I was not approved and told to return Honda CR-V. Was given my money back and took check to bank to cash. The teller had to verify funds and the dealership told her my whole situation which embarrassed me when she told me they told her what happened. This place embarrassed me and slandered my credit and reputation.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2021/10/13) */ This customer's lending institution originally approved them for financing based on the income they provided us. When the lending institution received verification of income, the income was considerably lower than the customer originally stated during the purchase. Therefore, the lending institution declined to finance and we were unable to get them financed elsewhere. We received the car from the customer and returned the down payment to the customer on the same day. I have spoken with the personnel in our business office and no one has a recollection of doing anything other than approving the check. We have a strict policy of not discussing anything related to our customers.
